Browns Adding to Game Day Experience

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not a huge fan of that last picture but the other three are all really cool. I especially like the second picture. They look like our current uniforms but just better. The colors just seem to pop more.

I agree on the second picture. The only thing I'd change is the orange number. On the field they seem as they'd be hard to see. They would need to be outlined in white or just white outlined in orange

Ok... I really like the jersey design on this picture..

If the helmets are changed at all, I'd wish to have the numbers on them. It's been the only thing I'd like to see on the helmet since day 1. Like this.. Could use a little tweaking, but this is the jist.

off topic from uniform discussion but man is the stadium going to be rocking on Sunday...the fans are going to be after blood and to whoop the Ravens...can't wait

Anyone have any insight into this year's "crackdown" at the Muni lot in terms of alcohol and open containers? I feel like they say they're going to crackdown on open containers every year but it always ends up being an empty threat with the focus solely on drunken misconduct.

I'm asking because I'm sneaking up to Cleveland for the game this weekend and was planning on the usual all morning tailgate at the Muni. People from home keep warning me about this crackdown, but is it really something to worry about this year?

We'll be drinking at my tailgate regardless, but if they are out there trying to bust people then we're going to be a little more creative.

From what I have heard from my friends who went there last week was that the police were walking around but no one even knew about it, so they didn't do anything. They say this week they are cracking down a lot but we will see. This includes beer cans, bottles, even solo cups (joking me?) The list of what they are trying to ban are:

- No charcoal grills
- No alcohol
- No private restrooms
- No saving parking spaces
- No open-pit fires
- No littering
- No vandalism
- No lining up vehicles on the Shoreway before the lot opens
- No walking across the Shoreway
- No in and out privileges
- Lot opens at 7 a.m.
- Cost per parking space used is $20 (wasn't it that last year???)

HEY BROWNS FANS, LET GO TO MUNI AND TAILGATE OUR ASSES OFF!!!

We are going there this weekend too, so I will let everyone know how bad/lenient they actually are.

What kind of draconian shit is this?

The city of Cleveland has released the following statement on tailgating:

"Open containers of beer or an intoxicating liquor are prohibited in the city’s municipal lot as stated in section 617.07 of the city’s codified ordinances. The city of Cleveland and Division of Police regularly patrol the lot on game days in an effort to ensure compliance to the law. The city will maintain established public health and safety patrols and will continue to advise all lot visitors of rules and regulations for game day tailgating."

Sooo, to get around the law, you just can't have the container "opened". So if you have a container with a lid, you are okay?

Walked past a cop with an open Bud Light. Just shook his head and said "Put that in a cup, please," and walked away.

It's all scare tactics. There would be a riot if there was a massive shutdown of that lot. Just use a cup and don't piss on a cop.

Or just come with liquor that's pre-mixed in regular beverage containers.

Sure, it doesn't really feel as "game day"-esque compared to chugging cheap, shitty American mass-produced beer, but it will do the job well enough.

Just make sure you guys don't show up until the second quarter, pass out at half time and miss the rest of the game and you will fit right in.

That's gonna be hard, my aim is shit when I'm drunk.

They had a segment on the news about it, with some lady from the city saying "nothing is changing from previous years" and multiple fans basically saying nothing's changed & just as long as you don't get crazy out of hand, you'll be fine.

The only thing they cracked down on last week that I saw was the people putting their chairs in empty parking spaces without paying for the extra space. They either saw the parking pass or you moved your shit. Tons of people had open containers and nobody seemed to care, but they weren't out of hand either.

All of this posturing from the City comes as a direct result of pressure from City Council. I know this because I've heard them complain in multiple meetings.

The problem they have is that a lot of suburbanites come to the Muni lot and just get trashed. That's not much of a problem in and of itself, but the way these people handle their post-tailgate responsibility is ignorant (and gross)... Basically, people are dumping their grill grease and buckets with piss/shit down into the sewers in an effort to not really deal with it.

Well, those sewers are for water and the shit people are pouring into the sewers goes straight into the lake. Believe it or not, Council cares about the lake.
