Browns Adding to Game Day Experience

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
All I know is that having gone to Lambeau Field a couple weeks ago, I have further contempt at how badly Cleveland Browns Stadium sucks in almost all ways.

What a nondescript piece of crap that place is.

A lot better than that crap that Oakland and San Francisco played in for the last 20-30 years. The coliseum and candlestick are both 2 big pieces of metal shit scrapped together. Granted SF is getting a new stadoum, Oakland looks be in some shit for a few years.

I really do hope these improvements can be felt as soon as you enter the stadium. Some Dan Gilbert input could be used. He's refurbished the Gund into a Entertaining venue. Let's hope Jimmy does the same..

Oakland could lose the Raiders if they don't step-up and offer some kind of a resolution to the Coliseum.

Yeah I'm going out on a limb and will say they aren't going to eliminate 22,000 seats... Let's be logical.

I'd predict 2,000 or less. Reports are a "slight" reduction in seating - probably to make room for some sort of press area similar to the one at the Q. Why eliminate seats and drive up prices when you can keep a high number of seats and drive up prices? The games will still sell out. We have been spoiled with the cheapest game day prices in the NFL for years - there's some wiggle room for ownership to bump the price up.

I'm very intrigued with what they may do for the Dawg Pound. It would be fantastic f they do something to make it distinct and played up the trademark aspect of the area.

The only way they make it fun again is if they move it closer to the field and let people throw dog bones again.

Are the renovations planned to be completed by next season?

I'm thinking alcohol discounts for anyone with a Dawg Pound ticket, nobody under 18 allowed, and "Must be this drunk to enter the Dawg Pound" signs posted above the entrances.

I believe the plan all along was to have all renovations completed prior to the 2014 season (and prior to any convictions/freezing of any assets), yes.

Can't tell if you're serious...but no chance in hell for any of these.

I thought I read somewhere that they're going to span the next two years. Not all at once.. At least, I don't think.

Did some research and yes, it is supposed to be completed in 2 years. I don't know what is completed and when, but the plan is for the build of design to complete in 2 years.

Summary of stadium improvements:

  • Scoreboards will be 3 times larger than current scoreboards. Strategically designed to create a bowl shape within the stadium to increase/maintain crowd volume.
  • A brand new sound system will be introduced.
  • Multiple escalators will be added and will run directly to the upper deck with no stops in between.
  • To make room for scoreboards and other additions, total seats will be reduced from just over 71,000 to a little over 68,000.
  • Many seats will be moved from the upper deck to the lower deck (moving fans closer to the field). Prior to this move, FE Stadium had the lowest percentage of any lower bowl seats in the NFL.
  • 2014 improvements (Phase 1): General concessions, POS/concourse areas, local food additions, suite improvements, suite additions, the addition of new lighting/stadium graphics based on team history and tradition, further improved cell service, etc.
  • 2015 improvements (Phase 2): Everything else.
  • From the look of the renderings, there will be structural additions to accommodate for digital advertisements, designated decks (i.e. Ford deck, etc.)

My take: It looks a HELL of a lot cooler. I will post renderings if I can find them online.

Huge improvements.
