Like Rapp said, I will do anything possible to make this happen. Every morning before I start my work I visit RCF and open up 34 and the Browns section.

We have enough people that love the Browns on here (excluding b00b) and we will make it as active as possible.

I personally think we should hold the donation so we can have it up and running by end of July (if that is not too much work for you with the regular switch over.) I think it would be awesome to get it up and running as smooth as possible by the start of the season. I bet there are a bunch of people looking for a legit Browns forum, and I believe with the popularity of RCF already, we can grow even faster.

And one more side note, you said that is a mock-up of the logo. I would honestly get A-Squared in on it. I bet he can come up with a badass Browns logo with how much he has been fooling around w/the jersey mock-ups.

Can we keep our handles from here?

Sounds like a good idea. Some way to link the sites easily makes sense.

I'd be glad to donate a few bucks.

Would be happy to chip in. I'm not a huge Browns fan but I would like to be, having a dedicated forum would help.

My only concern with it would be if we made a forum that focused primarily on the Browns, would we eventually get some of those dreadful posters that are on other Browns message boards? This sub-forum already provides the best Browns discussion I can find on the internet. The idea is great, don't get me wrong. I'm just trying to balance the potential positives and potential negatives.

That's a byproduct of any forum.

Given that this site is donation only, you have a great set of moderators who don't put up with any of the garbage and can drop the ban hammer rather easily if people get over the top with nonsense.

Simply because the Browns are a more popular entity, it would be a tougher battle than it is here simply due to more casual fans being ready to give their thoughts. That said, there is a pretty good playbook here which leads me to believe it could be handled well.

Is it too early for the classic RCF .gif.....?

I fucking love my Browns. They were my first sports love. I'll donate my kidney if you need it Ben to make this happen.

This would be a great idea. It could potentially be even bigger than RCF due to the popularity of the Browns in Cleveland relative to the Cavs.

And with some of the negative posters you might get, you will also attract even more intelligent posters who necessarily wouldn't participate here because they don't watch the Cavs like we do. I personally know a lot of friends that don't like the NBA that much but love the NFL.

Yes, you only have to register once and you can post on both forums... since you are already registered on RCF you would automatically be registered on the new website. (as well on any other sites in the http://RCFSports.com lineup)

That's a very generous offer. It's going to be hard to top that.

Cleveland is definitely Browns Town. Easily the most entertaining fan base of all of Cleveland sports. The forum idea is great, I'd frequent it more than the others, especially with this upcoming season.

Can you have a link that toggles between the two sites? Reason I ask, it is nice being able to read browns and cavs stuff on one site. If all I had to do was hit a tab at the top and it transferred me to the browns page it would be great.
Yes, there will be a tab to switch between the two. (In the works will be a mod that will allow you to see how many new posts each forum has regardless if you are on the Cavs or Browns forum)
