I've said it before but I truly cannot wait to watch this defense this season. Just feels like they are poised to dominate.

And they get to start against Baker week 1. Whew boy that is gonna be fun.

Feeling we’re going to get a pick handed back to him ala Randall to Hue.

Really seems thst the a large majority of the team outside of the OL… not really a fan of Baker.

I don’t think the team hates Baker. I just think they recognized he wasn’t good enough to get them to the next level. I suspect this reunion will be more like the one with Kitchens last year where there are no hard feelings among the players.

100% disagree. I think some of the players didnt like Baker, part of the reason they moved on. When OBJ left, the players all backed him, thought Baker couldnt get him the ball. Everyone defended OBJ, no one defended Baker, They are remaining professional, but that was a very telling sign.

There’s a big difference between not liking him on the field and hating him off of it. The players all realized that Kitchens wasn’t it, but they don’t hate him because he was a decent guy in over his head. The team hated Jackson, though, because he was a bad coach and a worse person.

I’m guessing the former is a lot closer to how they feel about Mayfield than the latter.

I think his antics grew old when they team was losing, but that’s a long walk to them hating him to the point where they taunt him during week one. I’d be pretty shocked if that happens.

I think the players hug it out pre-game and I’d imagine most don’t hold this whole situation against him.

Hate is a strong word, not many would hate him, but not like, i mean wouldnt care if they spoke to him again. But not hate.
