Bucks' Future In Milwaukee Remains Uncertain

18th August, 2006 - 9:43 am
Journal Sentinel -

While the Bucks have extended their lease at the Bradley Center through 2008, there still is no long-term venue solution for the franchise.

Timothy Sheehy, president of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, said Thursday that the Milwaukee business community was not "pushing the panic button" in terms of finding ways to support the Bucks and, perhaps, find and finance a new home for the team.

"It's on the radar screen in the business community, but it's a distant blip," he said.

Yea I was just about to post this.. that would suck for TJ...

Better start the suicide watch on TJ...

But seriously I hate to see this about any team. We all know what it was like to have the Browns leave town. I don't like seeing that happen to any city.

Yeah but we had fans at the time..

good point cdt :chuckles:

If this means TJ would stop posting here, pleasssse move.

I think LA needs a 3rd team :chuckles:

This is a very interesting and relevant topic for us to discuss, being that they are division rivals.

If the Bucks move, the whole team will probably benefit from addition by subtraction and therefore become the most offensively efficient team in the NBA, so perhaps the Cavs should consider moving as well...we need to match our division rivals moves.

That has been discussed, lol...but the majority voted against it but his recent posting will probably have the topic brought up again.

The Bucks aren't going anywhere. What may be true however is the fact that Herb Kohl, 72 years old, may choose to sell the team. Herb has stated on many a political platforms that if he indeed sold the team, he'd have assurances that the team would remain in Milwaukee. For example, Jordan attempted to buy the Bucks from Kohl several years ago but was rebuffed at the alter when he refused to grant assurances that the team would stay in Milwaukee.

TJ is a jetsetter and Buck 4 Life! No worries, no fears :)

Oh don't get upset at me because Cavalier Attititude took it to you the other day. TJ has broken no rules. If pushed, I push back just like everybody else. :thumbdown
