The trick with Microsoft is every other operating system they make is good. I would expect windows 9 to be good.
The only game I know of that tends to run a little better on windows 8 is battlefield 4.
Windows 7 runs that Game fine though and it is what I use.
This is more true than many people know...
Dos 2.0 - failed
Dos 3.1 - succeeded
Dos 4.0 - failed
Dos 5.0 - succeeded
Dos 6.0 - failed
Dos 6.2 - succeeded
Windows 3.0 - failed
Windows 3.1 - succeeded
Windows 95 - failed
Windows 98 - succeeded
Windows ME - failed
Windows XP - succeeded
Windows Vista - failed
Windows 7 - succeeded
Windows 8 - failed
The only way to make sense of this is that every other release is basically an attempt to probe the market. Windows 8 was an attempt to see if Microsoft could consolidate it's operating system platform to save R&D costs (one OS to rule them all). But it didn't work. Windows is the primary development, business, and workstation operating system in the world; and for some silly reason, Microsoft forgot that. They are so fearful of Apple and Google that they are trying to get ahead of the curve, without being innovative, but simply by lazily smashing concepts together and hoping for the best.
Windows 9 is already in development btw. Wondering if it will be their old Project Singularity or just the same old rehashed b.s. they've been dishing since 2002.
