And DWade and LBJ are tight. They are the godparents of each other's children. LBJ has been known to been talking to Bosh about playing with him in 2010. It's all completely asinine speculation at this point.

I ask that the mods move this.

Once again, the Cavs don't have the value to trade for a guy like Carmelo Anthony. Denver is going to want back much more than expiring deals and Varejao for an all-star player. Even a first-round pick added to the trade wouldn't be nearly enough to get it done, unfortunately.

That trade only works if their GM was McHale, and the trade was going to Boston :p

I know that the idea is just a dream....

But... the lure of the available free-agents in 09&2010, plus Varejao , plus 48 million in cap-space, plus 3 #1-draft picks (all unprotected).

Think about it: Does ANY team honestly have what would be needed in a trade for Carmelo? Kobe, LeBron, and possibly Wade or Paul would get it done head-up....

but as far as anyone else... it would be impossible.

All I am saying is IF Denver is truely considering a trade of Carmelo... this may be a deal they'd have to at-least consider.

They're friends, and that's fantabulousticly awesome..... But.......I'm roughly 100% sure Denver doesn't give a damn about their relationship when it comes to their team..

Ferry: "I would like to trade for Carmelo"

Nuggets GM: "No"

Ferry: "But they're friends"

Nuggets GM "No"

Ferry: "They're real tight, c'mon"

Nuggets GM "No"

Ferry: "I need a Kidney"

Nuggets GM: "No"

Ferry: "We'll trade you a lot of stuff down the road"

Nuggets GM:"No"

Ferry: "Look, just do it"

Nuggets GM: "NO"

Ferry: "Well, fine bitch, good bye"

Nuggets GM: "No"

We should get Paul, Wade, and Bosh too since Bronnie is so tight with all of them.

Paul
Wade
LeBron
Melo
Bosh

I'd prolly take that team.

Dunno.. Bosh may have to be the 6th-man. I think I like Dwight as my starting center.

YA WE GET CARMELO LIKE I GOT A BILLION DOLLARS RIGHT!!??! LOL

Move this forum, and close it because it's not happening. Were not getting Monta, were not getting Melo, were not getting DWade, were not getting D Howard, stop it with this stuff.

I'm not trying to convince anyone that we are getting Carmello...or even attempting to...

However, with some of the headlines that involve Anthony + The fact that him and LeBron are such good friends...

Wouldn't it stand to reason, that If LeBron was going to try and influence the FO, he'd want to do it when it'd include a person he considers to be like a brother?

And "IF" Denver "WERE" offering him, would it not make sense for Ferry to offer every player he could (except 'Bron), and as many picks as-needed, to get it done?

All I'm suggesting is that if Denver is truely considering the possibility of moving Anthony, it'd only make sense that we'd do everything we could do get him here.

It also only would make sense that we're doing everything we can to find a time machine... we could send Ferry back in time and kidnap Michael Jordan... put him through a process where he forgets his name and identity, complete amnesia... now, you change his name so nobody recognizes him and you sign him for the league minimum... claim he had been playing over in Europe. Now, you team him up with LeBron James. I think we would win the next 15 championships if we somehow pull this off. And it would only make sense that we are TRYING to pull this off.

Just my two cents.

It's a pipe dream but I could see that setting up Denver to be quite the team in the next 4 or so years. It would be something I would consider if I was the Nuggets GM (obviously that really doesnt mean a thing). I don't see why it's not worth a discussion at least.

I get what you're saying, Heath.. But, speaking for myself only, this type of stuff is boring discussion now, because it's all fantasy at this point..

And honestly, I think as fans, we're in a place now where we're looking for realistic scenarios because we're so close...

This type of stuff was fun on this site 3 years ago because we simply weren't in the position to grab the trophy like we're in now... We could potentially be one piece away from winning everything, and I think most of us like to discuss the possibilities that can put us in that position, because quite frankly, we've never been in this position before (at least within the internet era :chuckles:) and it's exciting to discuss the realistic possibilities, and as we all know, if we can't get a VC, Monta Ellis etc... I don't think anyone here truly believes Melo is obtainable for what we have... And if the whole basis of this scenario is the fact that LBJ is "friends" with him, it simply has no legs to stand on..
