Something just occurred to me... LeBron and Carmelo are real tight!!!!

I was reading ESPN-Insider, and more Anthony speculation was flowing. However, this time it sounded different.

They're stuck at the cross roads right now. Carmelo is their best trading chip but also the guy who is the future of the club. Bad contracts to Nene and Kenyon Martin have really killed the team's chances of rebuilding soon."

What if the following trade took-place:trade-link

I know it doesn't look good...or even possible. But add-in three future 1st-round draft picks, all unprotected.

This deal would make Denver a serious challenger for any and ALL free-agents in 09 & 2010! In-addition, they'd get 3 1st-round picks. True.... they'd be late picks, but they are still 1st-rounders and they are unprotected!

I KNOW this isn't the trades forum...

...However, I'd ask the Mods to leave this thread here, as I am not suggesting that there is any talk about it or anything, but I think that the fact the LeBron and Carmelo are so close, makes this topic legit....

...What if Ferry was trying to dump all of our expirings and everything else, to get LeBron's best basketball-buddy on the same team with him?

Does Ferry have those type of balls?

Is there any scenario that anyone could imagine where either denver and us, or possibly a 3rd or 4th team were constructing a deal?

Think about it....

Denver would dump 28 million from Carmello & Martin next year, plus 20 million for A.I.

48 million dollars plus 3 extra 1st round draft picks.

Has everyone looked at the free-agents available in 2009 & 2010????

This could be a master-stroke for both teams... a coup for ferry...

Multiple championships!!!!!!!

(Again, please don't move this thread.)

You don't trade a franchise player without getting someone who will eventually turn into a franchise player back. Trading Melo for expirings and picks would be even worse than giving Camby away for free.

it's not possible,

Jesus christ stop bumping old threads. Go back to cavs.com. I'm tired of coming on here and thinking theres all these new threads but there just ones you bumped.
