Who has stood out for you in January? Is it LeBron James again with his point scoring explosions, or Zydrunas who has really stood up this past month, or eric Snow who has been solid as a rock, or even Sasha Pavlovic who is undefeated as a starter, or do we look to Marshall who has refound his shooting touch?

I hate voting for lebron (which i did) because it seems too obvious all the time, but I would like to add that sasha was my favorite player to watch this month. (except for the block and dunk on the suns that i was privileged enough to be a "witness" to. that was sweet.)

Lebron did his thing, but Z took his game to another level this last month. I am sure his avg was around 20+PPG. Z also did a lot of good things on D, I think he is our MVP this month.,

I too took Ilgauskas. LeBron may have had the special numbers, but Z gave us what we really needed inside and was clutch at both ends of the floor. No disrespect to LeBron's wonderful month, but Ilgauskas at both ends of the floor was a differense maker.

Lebron singlehandedly won games against Phoenix and Utah. While Z certainly stepped it up, Lebron no matter how old it gets is the Cavaliers at this point

Well, LeBron is the most valuable overall pretty much year round so I figure he's too easy to pick.

However, for this month I voted for Sasha. We needed someone to step up and take Larry's minutes.

In our 6 game losing streak, the difference in those close losses is that we only needed a little bit more production from somebody named LeBron or Zydrunas.

In our 6 game winning streak Sasha has been a steady contributor and is playing better D (though still very poor).

Zydrunas also stepped up big this month

how can it not be lebron - he's likely to be the eastern conference player of the month and improved his case for League MVP.

I know that LeBron played great, but Z was as good as I've seen him. He really was our MVP in January. I'd hate to say it, but I take LeBron for granted and just expect him to do what he did. He's an amazing talent, but Z took his game to another level in the absence of Hughes.

perhaps it would be a more interesting poll to call it "Supporting Cast MVP" and leave lebron off.

Exactly. This was kind of like when someone wins an Emmy they say "First of all I'd like to thank God" then proceed to list their family and co-workers. :chuckles:

So Lebron, but Z has been a man this month.

Z had a great month but I had to go with LeBron who just dominated at times.

By the way, why weren't Wilks, Newble, or Hamilton among the choices?
