Cavaliers Playoff Packages Clarification

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well those tickets were sure slim pickings. I was on right at noon and could not find any 16 game packages for 2 seats. I was able to secure 2 plan B packages in the current section I sit in though. So I am assuming it will be games 1 and 5 for any series we have HC and games 3 and 6 for those that we dont.
No, it just alternates. Plan B gets games 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15.

So, if we sweep the first and second round, go 6 games ECF (without HC), and 7 game Finals (without HC), you would get R1G1, R2G1, R3G3, R4G6, R4G4.

I just declined to get em. I'm gonna just take my chances at securing single game seats to games I don't already have. I was really hoping to be able to get 4 seats because I wanna go with friends. So I think single game is the better route.

My presale is tomorrow and I'd love to get some ballpark of pricing. I'm assuming all that will be left is upper corners or worse. Can anyone who has already participated recall a rough ballpark of pricing?

Lower ends and corners were between $950-1150 or so per seat. That was best available when I looked.

I really hope that is not the case at all, although I can see where it would go like that. The entire process of buying tickets always seems to be unclear with the exact particulars of what you are really getting. I would think that most people would want to know for certain which potential games they were locking in. Either way, these are just additional seats I will make available to friends so that they can go to a game for face value.

But to further the point about the Cavs being unclear with things, they were going to start debiting my bank account for next years season tickets BEFORE they even announced what the 15-16 prices were going to be. I found this to be very sketchy on their part, since most people would assume prices were going to increase. A simple call to the office got me a deferment on the first payment for next season until prices came out, but better common sense on their end should have been used.

Really? I'd hate it if it were the way you were describing.

Alternating games ensures that you get nearly equal number of games as the other plan (there is a slight chance that Plan B gets one extra game if they Cavs play an odd number of playoff games). The way you describe it, if one package always got games 1 and 5, then unless every series goes 7 games, that package gets way more games.

And if you don't like not knowing which games specifically you are getting, you always have the option to get all 16.

The Cavs have done some less than awesome stuff this year with their tickets, that's true. But playoff scheduling is a 100% unknown throughout the whole process. It's not like the Cavs can tell you which games you get on a partial plan because nobody knows how many games they are gonna play.

Thats a good point, I guess I failed to look at it like that. I was just looking to ensure the latest possible game in a potential finals series. Realistically hoping to potentially lock in game 6 (assuming we dont have HC). Depending on how the previous series play out, one of the plans last games will be game 4 of the finals, again, assuming we dont have HC. My preference is to be on the plan that would get game 3 and game 6, but I guess there is no way of knowing till that series actually happens.

The system let me buy two separate packages.

There were no full packages (16 games) but it allowed me to buy one "A" package and one "B" package, so I have additional seats to all home games, they just alternate locations each game.

As others have said, it was pretty slim pickings. Earlier, I had a chance to buy lowers but I honestly did not think it was worth the up front price. Club Level seats in the last row of the second level were an average ticket price of $175 each. That is a CRAZY high face on seats that really aren't any better than Loudville IMO. Almost $5000 for two average seats to every playoff game.

I was able to get a plan "B" on one of the sideline Loudville sections and a plan "A" in one of the first corner Loudville sections. The average tickets price for those combined packages was around $66 a ticket. That is obviously inflated based on the expected finals tickets but for the 16 possible games it was a little over $2100 total for a pair of seats.

All in all, I didn't think that was horrible. Given how insanely expensive seats will be to the Finals, I was able to secure potential Finals tickets for everyone in my family by just paying money up front. That includes a potential finals closeout game, which would be astronomical to buy on a single game basis.

In terms of what happens to the additional money for any unplayed games, my guess is it will be applied to your 2015-16 seats. I doubt it is directly refunded to your CC.

I ended up getting 4 extras in section 217 row 12. Total cost was $1152 and that was for the 16 game package. So it pretty much comes out to $18 bucks a seat

lol team should raise prices some to cover the 110 million dollar salary that needs to be paid out next year.

I was very happy with the way they handled the playoff process.......all in all I have 7 seats to all. The games and my total cost is only $2200

One issue that remains is that the buyer does not know what the price for a given game is. They just give you a lump sum. Makes it difficult to comparison shop.

Anyone even see a price list for next year's regular season games? They used to always publish it.

Again, my philosphy is to not overthink it and get the playoff tickets. Sure, they'll be plenty on flash seats for the early games, but should the Cavs make the Finals or Eastern Conference, and I think this is likely, the price for even upper ends is going to be sky high. This is not the regular season and is a main reason to own season tickets in the first place.

The last Finals here was a 4-0 blowout. A competitive Finals would set this town on fire!

I know my prices per game for my seasons....just call your rep and they break it down.....

How did you get 4 extra when your only allowed to purchase 2?
