Cavaliers vs. Nets - Game 2/Round 2

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Say what you will about the Cavs...they keep things interesting.

Pavs with 5 fouls is a big issue. Can't believe I'm saying it, but we really need his aggressive D right now.

James has got to keep taking it to the rack. Don't worry about those misses. Get to the line.

Look for Drew and Z to get some more offensive boards on LeBron's drives...

The thing about Sasha I like, he's playing with more momentum/continuation the last few months, his teammates are trusting him so much more than last year. So not only are we getting points from both our backcourt spots now, his energy is helping other players like Hughes conserve their own energy, so they can make timely plays when the opportunities come up. Love it.

And the Cavaliers close it out down the stretch

Lebron with a dagger short jumper, up by 7 with 1 min left

Well I wonder what this would have looked like with a Krstic/Moore frontcourt. Anyone else wonder if Moore can play the 4 well enough to justify that? Maybe we'll see next year. People talk about Collins like he's the perfect role player, but he just doesn't do enough to change to game IMO

Cleveland wins 102-92. Good effort tonight from several guys.

2-0 Cavs!

Its all about execution, and the Cavs are all about that down the stretch.

The pressure from the Mike Brown detractors should be easing.

10 game win streak. 6 - 0 in the playoffs.

Well...

Someone ran out of gas and brainfarted the last 4 minutes of the game. it wasn't the Cavs.

Lawrence Frank might consider abandoning the running game. We absorbed their third quarter push, and it left them with nothing in the tank at the end.

Young legs versus old legs. 2-0 Cavs.

Weathered the storm here. Some points:

Jersey shot crazy good. Besides some dumb TOs, Jersey executed and hit shots as well as a team is going to. Kidd hit 4/6 from 3, hes about 35% shooter on the season. Jefferson was 7/11 and Mikki fricking Moore was 6/8. That guy got some jump shooting work in over in the NBDL. Carter was crap in the first half but was all good in the second, hitting lots of those shots he missed in the first. Collins is an even bigger zero than Ben Wallace offensively though.

Carter literally ran out of gas. Sasha made him play D on the other end and frustrated him all night offensively. He ended up with a cramp which was the end of the game basically, forcing Jersey to foul.

We still havent been able to establish much in the post. Lebron had one post up, Z had 2 or 3 opportunities, Gooden had 1, and that was it.

The game was won with 4th quarter execution. No Lebron miracles needed, but when it came down to it, the 4th quarter defense was excellent and the offense was actually executed for the most part. I only remember a handful of bad possessions for the game, we've limited the quick shots and "Lebron hold" possessions. Only 9 TOs on the game

You have to like Sasha's agressiveness. He's not backing down from Carter at all and is defending him well.

LeBron huge tonight. Kept making big plays when it was needed.

Varejao finally played like he's capable tonight and it provided a nice lift. Looks like he might be back in form.
Gooden, Z and AV did a great job of controlling the boards. I didn't like Z backing away from stopping penetration a few times.

Better FT shooting and it wouldn't have been as close as it was until the Cavs pulled away with under 2 minutes left. Offense stood still a little too much tonight which can't happen.

Cavs are on a roll now. I'd like to get this series done in 5 games and I think it's possible.

Props to our primary PG tonite... 12 assists and only 2 TO's .vs. Kidd's 8 assists and 8 TO's. Terrific closeout in the 4th.

Go Cavs!

I'm sure Kidd's 8 TO's will be glossed over by most, since he is the great Jason Kidd. But the two he had in the 4th were killers in a game like this.

You can't fault Kidd with all of those turnovers..I mean christ he had Nachbar spotted up on the baseline where he makes his money and threw one off the guys face..I'd be pissed if I was J-Kidd..

He's had a few go off of Jason Collins' knees, lips, forehead etc..

What really grinds my gears is how he doesn't jump on his 3's he just sort of tippy toes and Larry still doesn't manage to block him..

He had some crap passes too. That flashy behind the back pass to a photographer in the front row and that pass off of Mikki Moore's ankle to name a few.

I don't see how they can win if they can't get rebounds and get into their uptempo offense.
