I understand, Bickerstaff doesnt want injuries but you gotta give Sexton, Okoro, Windler and Garland more playing time.

It was clear as day Sexton was rusty because he normally makes those shots.

Sexton starts season slow.. its a big shame they ddint get 4 games into him
 
Hate to do this but my mind just went an alternative reality where they drafted SGA and Herro instead of Sexton and Garland lol
I am for sure over reacting to this game, but it did cross my mind to be honest. I know sGA wanted nothing to do with the Cavs and that no one was calling for Herro at 5. Still it was an option that was not explored. Only time will tell how if and how big of a missed opportunity it was.
 
It's a good lesson for the kids.. I do see a physically improved Garland and that ain't nothin... But he is not close to a starting quality point guard..And the kids aren't ready to play NBA ball.

This is what makes the draft so hard. The Cavs once passed on Klay Thompson for Tristan and The Greek Freak for Anthony Bennett. But no one at the time was saying let’s consider these guys. It takes a ton of creativity and luck to identify these guys sometimes.
 
I reckon if someone asked Frazier what day it is right now he'd get it wrong

Why do people keep bringing up SGA when he told the Cavs not to show to his workout..Even,if the Cavs did drafted him,he would have been very disgruntled about it.

People need to accept he didn't want to be here and drop it...

I don't think there was anything wrong with drafting Sexton. Just drafting Garland after we already had Sexton was just bad roster building. That small of a backcourt was always going to create issues. Even a 3 man rotation at the guard spots with one of them being a sixth man would create issues. The minutes just don't add up to accommodate 2 small guards in the modern nba.

I like Okoro but I worry we might have set the team back by not drafting a tall PG to pair with Sexton. There were a couple in this year's draft and it might have been a missed opportunity to set the roster on the right track.

I get what you are saying, but on the other hand well run organizations bring the guy in and explain a vision to him and his agent. They never really pushed the issue for better or worse. It is impossible to say what would have happened. The other issue is why a guy is so adamant about not wanting to play in Cleveland but happy to play in Oklahoma City.
Sexton could very well end up better but we can’t pretend it was an impossible task to draft him and then sell him.
