Cavs in Pop Culture

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0566530/

Watching this while visiting my brother in Oklahoma.

There's a few references here and there about the team, but nothing specific. Just using the logos and talking about "going to the game"

Pretty much they go to a Cavs team, and slap "Buzz Beer" stickers on the back of Cavs players. Nothing is show, but some funny jokes are mad. Drew apparently tries to a drinking game with it.

It's unusual watching this for me because I don't remember that Cavs team really resonating with many people growing up. That's not a slam on the likes of Tyrone Hill, Terrell Brandon, Big Z, and the like. BUT...it always felt like basketball fans locally were more enamored with the Bulls or Lakers teams during that time.

NOW? Different story. Definitely different story. Even during times of Dysfunction? It seems like this team is talk of the town.

No one mentioned IT's appearance on Law and Order?

Damn, I thought this was a thread about how this Cavs roster would look under Popovich as a coach.

Also, a hundred million references in hip hop lyrics. Jeezy, Kanye, Jay, you know the drill. Also Meek Mill "ball hard, D Waiters"

In Empire State of Mind Jay Z sings:
If Jeezy's payin' LeBron, I'm payin' Dwayne Wade

lol
