cavs trade: wally, wright
cavs get: anthony parker, chris wilcox

raps trade: anthony parker
raps get: wright, wilkens

okc trades: wilcox, wilkens
okc gets: wally

why for cavs: starting 2 and 4. parker is perfect at the 2 as hes money from deep and a good defender. wilcox is athletic, plays hard and gets it done

why for raps: get more youth and athletiscism from there 2 gaurd, also get more front court help which theyll need.

why for okc: shoot for the 09 free agency by giving up 2 players not in there plans for the future.

roster:
Mo will/ Delonte
Parker/Boobie/Kinsley
Bron/Pavs/Jawad
Wilcox/Ben/Hickson/Jackson
Big Z/ AV

Re: cavs - raps - okc

Hmmm. I am not really sure what to say to that. I am a little biased as a Cavs fan, but this trade is alright. I don't thin T.O would do this and OKC is kind of a toss up. Trading Wright doesn't make sense though because we need to get Bigs.

Also doesn't work salary wise.

Re: cavs - raps - okc

I see LBJHeath has a second account.

^^^Someone break out the captain obvious pictures.

Where do I start...

First off, it's awful for Toronto. I don't think getting a 28 yr old, soon to be 29 SG/SF is an ideal "youth" pickup. Anthony Parker is a key piece on their team, and is their captain.

Second, Wilcox is already expiring, and they just sent Wally out last year. This makes no sense for them.

It's a pretty awful idea.

Agreed! I find these bias trade ideas annoying. Then they try to rationalize thier bias idea as to why the other team(s) make the trade, which looks even more silly. You are right, Parker is a big part of the raps plans. And Wilcox is an expiring, so trading him for a player they just got rid of is comical.

**Another angle to this scenario is this; This is a business, and anytime there is business involved, corporate politics is in play. This is what alot of the younger members don't understand. The Cavs is not going to bench Ben Wallace for a guy like Wilcox. The only way Big Ben is going to be benched is if they get a star quality PF. Ben Wallace simply makes to much money to ride the bench as a back-up($14 mil?) in favor of an avg. PF. If Ferry was to do that, then it would be like publicly admitting that he made a mistake in acquiring Wallace. GM's don't like to do this. He has to protect his job and make it look like the player's he are getting are key contributor's. Owners do not like high salary players coming off the bench either. If Ben and AV had equal salaries, then AV would be starting.

Wally and his 13 million dollar contract are sitting the bench. However what your missing is we gave up Larry Hughes a decent defender who couldn't score at SG any more for a Big whose sole purpose is to defend the paint. I truly think the Cavs will play who ever makes us the most competitive reguardless of what their pay plan looks like. So in this case I am going to have to disagree with you.

Good strong point. However, Wally and Big Ben is two different scenarios. #1, Wally is absolutely terrible on the floor. He can't defend and isn't worth much on offense either. With Ben, he doesn't hurt you as much. Ben has never been a scorer so his purpose is to defend and rebound. Ben is not the player he was, but he can still have those games where he is sufficient. Like last night when Ben got 10 rebs, and 5 blks. Also, Wally is an expiring contract and has already been giving the green light to be traded, thus the Wally for VC offer around the draft. Once the front office start offering a player in trades, he is seen as someone who want be with the team long, then it's ok for him to be a back-up. Big Ben's contract status isn't in that situation YET. Secondly, it doesn't look good with two big salaries player's riding the bench like that. If the Cavs got Wilcox, I don't see him starting. He may get more minutes, but he likely will not start. Also, Wilcox IMO is a lateral move and isn't worth acquiring.
