Cavs Ticket Questions, Policies, and STH Concerns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Sources are unanimously reporting Xmas game is @ Miami.

Hmmm maybe I'll have to plan to visit my relatives who live near Miami this xmas . I'm sure I'd get a warm reception among their fans with my LBJ 23 jersey haha. Kinda like when I wore it to the palace back during that epic playoff series with the Pistons... lots of death stares and verbal threats lol

We have season tickets, and last year sold at least half of them thru Flash Seats, and we never had any problems. We went into our tickets knowing that we wouldn't be able to make a lot of the games (because of kids, jobs, work travel, etc.), and our rep was well aware of that before we bought in. I don't know if the rules are different for partial season ticket holders vs. full, and I also don't know if the Cavs will be monitoring things more closely now that interest in the team has jumped a notch or two. But this is the first I have heard of any limit on sales.

BTW, I would think that the classified section on this site might be a good way to sell some of those tickets you can't use.

Been a lower bowl season ticket holder for 11 years now (and typically sell on flashseats more than half the games, but never missed a LeBron home playoff game), and never heard of what is being described, and not sure they can do anything about it since selling is clearly allowed. In fact, the Cavs publicize it and make a profit on such sales.

Still haven't heard anything (placed deposit on 7/17). Just got off the phone with my rep and he said they are still working through the list. He said "everyone will be contacted regardless of what is available and what is not available." That doesn't sound too promising, but still holding out a little hope.

Just to shed a little more light. I placed my deposit exactly two hours after lebron's announcement to return. I received my call last week and the only packages left remaining were 10 games (home opener most likely will not be included). I took the offer of course, but I can't imagine things looking too promising from here!

Dad snagged half season tickets in section 120. Not sure if we have the opener yet, but if not, we have priority before the general public to buy single game tickets for it. So pumped.

I'm giving these guys until Friday. I placed my deposit on the 18th, and the rep said i would get a call by the following monday or tuesday. Then I get an email saying that I would get a phone call, which I never received. Finally called them today, and they said they are still working down the list, and have no timetable when they will be done.

I just don't understand why they didnt sell them on a first come first serve basis.? people already called, just sell what is available until you sell out. why take people's money, and then have to call people back, and drag the process out?

I think it is fair, I am sure the list is first come first serve. Just because you want to buy now does not mean those who put down a deposit first should not get the first shot.

Also, they know you have to wait. Demand is greater the Supply.

But I do agree it sucks. Did you lock in a purchase price as well or just rights to a buy seats that's are available?

no, I just purchased a seat. have no idea how much. I do think it's fair, I just hate to wait this long. My point was, just sell them over the phone when people called initially. that way you don't have your money tied up, and not knowing if they have seats for you.

I emailed Sam The Bullshit Whisperer asking when the schedule would be released and he said he's hearing next Tuesday (8/12). Let's hope us partial plan holders get some good games in there!

Has anyone gotten a call this week with good or bad news? Holding out hope for all the posters here trying to snag any kind of season tix package!
