I wondered why the Cavs would have a self imposed limit of 12,000 season tickets. My thinking is that, with variable pricing, they can get more selling them for the full variable face value (i.e., very high for opening game, Heat game, etc.) than at the discounted rate they give to season ticketholders. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I'm sure that's part of it.
Also, it's just completely unfair to the general populous who can't afford season tickets. Can't just shut out single game tickets.
Also, the NBA mandates that at least 500 tickets need to be available for no more than $10, and if I recall, the Cavs have way more than 500.
