It's fantastic. Hard to rank their albums since they're all beautifully and carefully constructed, but this one does seem to be hitting me in a way an album hasn't in a long time.
It's definitely up there with In Rainbows, Kid A and OK Computer... what I consider the "Big Three" for RH.
It's amazing to me that they can keep this level of consistency and freshness for 20+ years.
5 stars, absolutely.
Daydreaming gets a little better with every listen. It reminds me of a combination of Kid A (the song) and In Limbo, just in terms of the tone... which were always two of my favorites. Kid A is also pretty stunning live. I'm guessing Daydreaming is going to be amazing on stage as well.
I 've only listened once but I'm disappointed.
The first track is good, a couple others may grow on me, but blech
This is a bad kid a. Bland.
How to disappear and everything in it's right place are both sans chorus type structures but they both implement song-foundation shifting measures, or measure long hooks.. I don't see much that actually grabs interest on here
