Cleveland Browns 2022 Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Are they sitting anyone Sunday given it's an extended preseason game?

Funny part is he really always has been the side kick and never really a feature guy with success.

What you're saying is very true, however, I do understand what he means. He wants to be a dynamic duo, not a sidekick. Kinda like the Chargers, or Raiders. He wants to be 1a and 1b, not 1 and 2. I get it, and agree with that desire and goal. Where I fully disagree is that desire is 95% (see what I did there) up to him and his effort. He could've made himself irreplaceable with a higher motor and better lockerroom presence. I wish we could combine the intangibles of Rochelle or Winovich with the athletic ability of Clowney.

It all starts with being a good football player. Put in the work. Develop your technique. Clowney has never done that.

If he put in a third of the effort that guys like Dwight Freeney, Jared Allen, Reggie White, Nick Bosa, etc then he could have had a career similar to Myles Garrett.

But he hasn't. He hasn't developed his hands, or new moves. He's lucky he's a defensive end because now he just goes down as average. If he were a QB, he'd have been labeled a bust.

This guy is pure class.

It makes zero business sense, probably not much football sense, and isn't good for his career, but Jacoby is the kinda guy I'd pay just to have him in the lockerroom and with this team if for no other reason than the person he is.

Folks have said they'll be fans of players even after they leave, but I think its largely just lip service (at least it has been in my experience). Jacoby is *DEFINITELY* a guy I've become a fan of and want to see succeed and fet what he wants out of his career. I'll be following hin and cheering for him along the way. If he ever wants to get into coaching, I'd pay handsomely to have him in the Browns QB room.

I don’t see Jacoby being a starter again unless it’s similar to this situation — whereas he could go to Houston and help groom whichever QB they go with or Arizona and hold it down until Kyler is recovered.

I’d say almost a third of the NFL will be looking for a starting QB entering the offseason—

Jets
Houston
Indy
Tennessee (pending Tannehill)
Las Vegas
Washington
Carolina
Atlanta (as bridge to Ridder, possibly)
New Orleans
San Francisco (pending Jimmy G and Lance’s health)
Tampa (maybe)

You got Tannehill, Carr, Brady, Wentz and Jimmy G as your likely veteran starting options.. Maybe the Giants go big fish hunting, or the Ravens screw the Lamar negotiations or Geno gets a huge offer elsewhere.. You also have the wildcard if Tennessee or Arizona decide to move on from their starters and draft a guy high with where they’re picking..

Out of those 11, Brady, Carr, Tannehill and Jimmy G will be starting somewhere.. That still leaves 7 open chairs.. Even if you count Stroud, Levis and Young, it’s TBD if team would want to start them..

All that to say I’d be surprised if Brissett wasn’t starring somewhere next year.

I would be surprised if Baker is starting somewhere.

Brady retires and nobody starts Wentz. Someone might very well risk it for the Brisskett.

Like seriously, fuck this guy. Talking about us having our players and won’t PLAY. Like won’t go in the game. Did he milk the concussion thing too? Like who does this guy think he is?
How about play like you did during your last game last year, you know, the one that would help you get paid again, every single game?!?
What a prima donna. Talking about “I don’t have time for that.” What do you not have time for?!? To NOT PLAY?!?

Good riddance. This experiment was a failure. A strikeout. Wouldn’t put this guy on a minimum contract to be on the team. Now we have another hole to fill but at least we know that we certainly can’t count on this clown. What a loser.
