I think it's a borderline lock that, if the Browns want Mariota, they're going to have to move up in a trade with Washington.

Now if you asked me 3 months ago, I'd have said no chance this happens. Browns just took Manziel, I know he sucked but they won't mortgage their future on a QB immediately after drafting one.

If you were to ask me now, I'd say I still don't find it likely. However it's not out of the realm of possibility. Manziel's antics, rehab stint, and overall sucktitude gives the Browns the excuses they need if they want to shoot for MM.

Ah fuck it. Mariota to Hartline, best QB WR combo in football.

Caplan is one of the better talking heads so when he talks I generally listen. Charlie Casserly isn't one of those guys for me but they must have heard the same thing.

To continue on your point, Caplan is VERY plugged into Philly. If the Browns offered to Philly, no doubt in my mind Caplan has the network to find that out. And I agree regarding Casserly.

You can say he has a better arm/if healthy is a lot better than what we have...but one quick movement to get away from a 300lb. lineman chasing after him and boom, that #19 turns into a guy who is forced to retire, when it could have been a starting NT or a young, promising WR/DE.

Could not agree more with Keys, I find it impossible to believe they won't take Mariota if he's still there. I just really can't see it NOT happening. They've made all these big moves this off-season. They've improved their receiver core, got Revis back, the only really big glaring hole left is the QB position.

They need a QB just as badly as we do.

Geno Smith is garbage, there's no rationale in passing on a QB many are pretty high on in this draft class, for another wasted season in Geno.
