Cleveland Indians Offseason News, Notes, and Rumors

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I appreciate the fact you readily admit you don't know shit and are just here to troll.

Being called a troll by the best troll on the forum (minus Jigo)..... What an honor.

Same shit different day in the Indians threads.

Jesus Christ, these pissing matches have got to stop.

Can we stick with news, notes, rumors, and good, respectful discussion concerning them?

I feel like Cobra Commander right now. I've got minions who don't like my posts doing my trolling for me.

All sgm wants is to have legitimate discussion about a mediocre team and to avoid dealing with my bullshit. And b00bie probably doesn't even realize that he wants more.

It has probably been hashed over twenty-plus times by now, but we really should lock up Asdrubal. That has been my sentiment since before he had this season and he just got more expensive. Have there been any Asdrubal related rumblings that I won't find via google?

Coco Crisp's agent Steve Comte told Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle that his client would be a good fit for the Giants.
"Covelli has made it clear that he would like to play for a team that is determined to compete, and he'd also like to stay on the West Coast," said Comte. "I think the Giants would be a viable option for him and vice versa." Can't say we disagree, as the Giants are in need of a center fielder and leadoff hitter. It's unlikely he'll return to Oakland, as GM Billy Beane is limited due to uncertainty over the team's stadium situation. Crisp, 33, batted .264/.314/.379 with eight homers, 54 RBI, 49 stolen bases and a .693 OPS this season.

Cross off the return of Coco.

And thank god.

I have a feeling you will be singing a different tune when you have to watch some combo of Michael Brantley and Shin Soo Choo in CF for a whole season:chuckles:. He has developed into a fine defensive CFer since leaving here, and if the club can't get the RHed power bat they covet for the OF or if it ends up being a 1B then I think their next target should be an above-average defensive CFer. Coco looks like the best one of those out there at the moment, although he is also the kind of player that Brian Sabaen would make a dumb contract offer to so I am not going to get my very mild hopes up.
