Cleveland Indians Spring Training Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
like the one giving you your mouth sores . . . who asks for advice on things like that on a sports board . . .sad

Many people here are qualified to answer medical questions.

I really wish you would stop quoting him. Makes my ignore list useless.

I would take me some Damon on this team. Be the next Trot Nixon. Maybe he'll bring back the Rally Pie.

Damon - 150 GP, .261 AVG, 16 HR, 73 RBI, 19 SB, .326 OBP, .418 SLG, .744 OPS

Abreu - 142 GP, .253 AVG, 8 HR, 60 RBI, 21 SB, .353 OBP, .365 SLG, .718 OPS

Who would you rather pick up? I think I prefer Damon, who might work well in a platoon with Duncan as he hits lefties well.

damon has been a clubhouse leader and a fan favorite every place he has played , Abreu seems disgruntled and if he doesn't get the ABs could be a distraction

at minimum both should be able to hit above .250

shows how unhappy the Tribe is with their OF options when these are our choices

Was he alive for this?

I know he's just protecting his guy, but that's a biiiiit of a hyperbole on his part.

What happened there?

Indians Release Fred Lewis
By Ben Nicholson-Smith [April 2 at 1:26pm CST]

The Indians released outfielder Fred Lewis, according to MLB.com's Jordan Bastian (on Twitter). They had signed Lewis to a minor league contract in January.

Lewis posted a .230/.321/.317 line in 210 plate appearances for Cincinnati last year, but he spent time on the disabled list with a strained right oblique muscle. The 31-year-old played both corner outfield positions for the Reds, who signed him for $900K. Lewis, a left-handed hitter, has a track record of success against right-handed pitching (.780 career OPS).
