Why has draftexpress dropped Len from a top 3 pick to the tenth pick? Hmm...

I don't think he was ever a top 3 pick on draft express. Or if he was, it hasn't been for months.

Len was top 3 in january. was top 5 beginning of march, and is now 10th falling behind gobert on draftexpress.

January, as I said.. months ago. To me, and a lot of other sites Len has always been a 7-12 type player. Besides, what is your point with the "Hmm..." comment? I hope you aren't using it as evidence that Len is going to drop to the lakers pick.

Len is not going to have his size advantage he sported in college going into work outs. He's going to get dominated by gobert, dieng , and Adams. There is a very likely chance that Len falls further as the competition rises. Most mocks have those three in the low 20's and project them as back ups. It will mean Len also projects as a back up center if he can't dominate his peers.

HAHAHA

You're saying Len, who is 7'1 260 and the guy that took it to Noel (Len went for 23 / 12/ 4 while holding Noel to 4 / 9 / 3) is going to get owned by:

Stephen Adams (6'11 250) - A player who only cracked double figures in scoring 6x and double figure rebounds 5x

Gorgui Dieng (6'11 245) - Guy can play D but he's already 23 and played over 30 minutes a game to put up the stats he was, almost 6 more minutes a game than Len. Len out produced him when that is taking into account.

Rudy Gobert (7'1 235) - Is the only player of the 3 you listed that is as tall as Len but Len still has 30lbs on him. Gobert has been playing well over 20 minutes a game and has cracked double digit points 3x and double digit rebounds 1x since January. 20 min a game in FIBA ball is a lot of time.

If an opponents size was going to bother him it would have shown by now and when he played Noel or Miama U (FL), one of the only teams in the country that had 3 players 6'10 or taller playing over 20 minutes, Len played well 16/9/2 or it would have shown in the Iowa game where Len was matched up with Adam Woodbury (7'1 235) Len had 16 / 9 / 6 and Woodbury was held to 9 / 3 / 2 (also why bring this up in the Porter thread?)

True.Porter doesn't face any competition at small forward. Len has a lot of players at center in this draft that will be gunning for him. I don't think any drafts have had porter falling. Porter was a late first and has moved into the top 10 on most mocks.

Huh? Porter has been regarded as a top 10 pick since about December

Draft express had him 15 early in the year. After his jump shot came online and people saw him bombing away I think that's what moved him into the top 10. Yeah that's not late i mean he was considered middling.

I think he is a rookie that can come in and help us win games much like how Kawhi Leonard came in and helped the Spurs out considerably in his rookie season. He won't be asked to do too much but he's a smart player. Kyrie/Dion/Porter/TT/Varejao just sounds so fun to watch.

I tend to hate player comparisons, but anyone see Loul Deng in his game?

I haven't watched Tayshaun in a while but looking at him in this MEM-LAC game just reminds me of Porter's mannerisms from this season.

It's just wild. Tayshaun was much more of an athlete back in his UK days, perhaps Porter can showcase some of his athleticism in the combine since that is his only question mark right now.

I think the combine is going to hurt Porter's stock if anything. He's just not that athletic..

That said, I do think he'd be a great fit for us. He does a lot of the little things well, and I love his motor and passing ability. Hopefully he proves me wrong at the combine.

People didn't really think Barnes was athletic as he is until the combine. Porter isn't a freak athlete, but he might surprise some.
