Had some good passes tonight. He want hurting shots, but he was working hard and moving the ball

Yeah he takes alot of mis range jumpers, some are even contested which makes me mad. He needs to shoot lay ups or and threes. Fading away is something he should remove from his game.

Hes got a decent floater though.
You misspelled ̶m̶̶i̶̶d̶̶ miss.

I know he was an 8th pick, but the fact that Dan Gilbert was enamored with Collin Sexton makes him an asshole and our organization will stay amongst the worst.

Collin had a good few weeks with a hot shooting streak, besides that he's been dogshit. Nobody expected him to set the league on fire, win the rookie of the year, be the best rookie PG, but you had to expect better than this.

Put it this way, if Collin was hooping like Clarkson is, we'd be over the moon, and Clarkson sucks.

NBA Drafts and our team just doesn't mix. LeBron and Kyrie were obvious choices.

He has a ton of work to do in the off season. Organization lacks a coaching staff that can develop young players, which is not ideal! He is still pretty raw, but would probably be in a better situation on a different team, who knew what they were doing in the front office and coaching staff.
Still has the skills to be a solid nba point guard, but it is possible it may take longer then people want to hear. I would not make any hard conclusions until the end of his second season. It would not shock me if he was the type of player that ended up playing much better on his second contract, who was given up on too early.

Agreed, with his age and position and general raw-ness, should at least wait until second year to try to project his future.

There are still some good trends, his 3PTA have been steadily increasing (by month: 1.0, 1.9, 2.4, 3.8), his APG have been increasing (2.3, 2.7, 2.9, 3.4), his FTA have been increasing after a hot start (4.6, 1.9, 2.4, 3.8). All signs he is learning how to play.

He just desperately needs a good offseason with a good coaching staff. Better teammates would help too.

Maybe Gilbert will break down, hire a competent GM and let them lead the coaching search, and find a staff like the Nets have, but not confident he can do it. Ego way to big!

He is still turning it over a bit, but he is actually making good passes and seeing wrinkles he wasn't. I think his scoring is down because he is focusing on that. He watches tape with Delly a lot.

If has a few more dazzling offensive games and continues to grow in his PG duties I will be pretty happy.

He hasn't put it together and we overestimated his readiness due to a nice stretch.

I mean really, when or if we predicted his stats for the year on this forum, I would assume that most people projected the 15ppg range on relatively poor FG% but decent 3PT%. Maybe we thought his assists would be higher.

But if we can average something like 16/4 or 15/5 on 45% shooting (38% 3pt) the rest of the year, or even the last month, I'd say that's alright.

Yeah man man needs to average 16 with 5 assists stud

Team-high +16 for Sexton tonight. Combined with some of the nice drives he had down the stretch in the fourth, it was an encouraging performance.

At the very least, that particularly tough stretch looks over.

He's been playing better, but he really put a whole game together tonight.

He also only Drew a couple of fouls technically, but if he ever gets those calls. Man he took a hard foul tonight and ran it off. He is tough.

Nice passing even if guys missed shots. I still think his timing on passes is a little slow. I bet we see more as he gets used to how fast plays develop.

Great change of speed tonight on drives. Man if they could get him some space he can fly to the rim.

Would have had a decent number of assists if people could make shots. Drive and kick game was pretty good last night.

I kinda forgot about the game, checked the score at halftime and saw that all our starters had really high +/-. So I stayed up way past my bedtime to watch the 2nd half and I'm glad I did.

These types of games are what I was hoping for during this season...this is what I was talking about when I thought this season would be more exciting than last. Even if we lost, it's great to see our young guys being the difference makers.
