Fine him behind the scenes. Total tank job by the past 2 opponents. You have to turn the tank up a notch.

6th game this year with 4 or more three pointers made in a game for Young Bull.

Five of those games have come in March (Tonight marks the 3rd game in a row and 4th game out the last 5 played). One in February.

Trae Young and Luka are comfortably ahead for such games (14 and 11, respectably) on the season. Collin is 2nd among rookies just behind Trae Young on these games since February (7 vs 6).

Collin's in the 42nd -> 47th tier among rookies all-time with the above stat.

Two more such games will put him in the 27th-31st tier.

The way his 3 point shot is trending we may have the next Steph Curry on our roster, but with better athleticism.

Colin Sexton’s 7th straight game of 23+ points is the most by a rookie since Tim Duncan! Now he’s got to shoot for AI’s 9 straight games. The moment never seem to big for him in the clutch which is another huge plus. I figured Sexton might fall into the polarizing role occupied by Kyrie and Russ but it’s nice to see people recognizing what he CAN do instead of harping on his weaknesses. Great pass at the end to Cedi as the entire defense collapsed on his drive.

An absolute scoring machine, improve his defense and court vision and you'll have a superstar. I pray we get him the right coach.

This kid might be special fellas. Might be a generation talent because of his 3 shooter, efficiency, and speed. We might have the steph Curry/John Wall Hybrid.

Worth watching his highlights from the game again today, especially when you compare it to how he looked early on in the season. Look at how poised, concentrated and determined he is on every set. The game looks like it's slow down astronomically for him now - he had a couple of rushed TOs but overall, he's just been making right decision after right decision.

I think the way he's raised his basketball IQ has been just as impressive as his a) overall shot selection and b) 3-PT scoring.

That off ball cut at 10 seconds was a play they ran a few times today and showed great chemistry between Knight/Sexton and Cedi/Sexton on another occassion. He even looks far more formidable defensively, fighting screens, switching on time and just generally being in the right place.

And the ultimate barometer? Larry Nance Jr. didn't get mad at him even once!

I'm pumped on the strides Sexton has made. This kid could be special and I'm loving that right now he's a low key player. Keep praising trae and doncic...sexton could be better than both. In the future.

Remember the movie Groundhog Day? Sexton's box score stats appear to be trapped there.

Following a loss against Dallas, a night in which Luka Doncic schooled Sexton, the Cavaliers rookie went to the practice facility and hoisted 750 shots. Hours after that defeat, all Sexton could think about was working on his shot. One week at Cleveland Clinic Courts, the Cavs counted 9,000 shots from their players -- a number tallied by an internal monitoring system set up at the facility -- and Sexton took 3,000. The Cavs have even tried to get him to pick up a hobby so basketball isn’t all he does.
