Curtis Grant is a Buckeye

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
espn and rivals is a joke... rivals doesn't even have a mid west guy, they just watch tape. Scout is head and shoulders better.

On the NFL Draft, 2007, no less than 5 espin talking heads declared the Browns as Brady Quinn's "hometown" team, despite Quinn being from suburban Columbus. That started the realization of how morally bankrupt that network has become.
What exactly is wrong about someone being from Columbus adapting a Cleveland team as his "hometown" team? Hometown is a pretty broad term.

Yea. Kid is unbelievable.

Ohio State has a long-snapper on scholarship every year....With the loss of McQuaide, I have no problem taking this kid and letting him handle the duties for the next four years.

He is the Ryan Pontbriand of Ohio State Football...

I'm still miffed that Aundrey Walker went to USC. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled with this recruiting class and think it could be as impactful as the '08 class, but losing out on a Glenville guy to Lane Kiffin and Ed Orgeron makes me upset. As a young kid, it's his decision and he's going to be in L.A. but I just hope he didn't get played by some snake-oil salesmen.

I mean, I'll never be surprised when a low-income kid goes out to LA and gets played by people like Kiffin.

Mom is apparently following him out there, what are the odds she finds the dough to live comfortably for the next four years?

Let me preface this by saying that I'd play Buckeye football over USC football had I been in a position to.

You've got to understand that some people aren't enamored with the fact that Cleveland gets all of the seasons and can get frigid in the winter. USC has a hell of a situation with the weather and area and females. That type of stuff could go a long way for some people, longer than tradition in some minds. USC is also a good school.

Oh, I absolutely understand that. Being in school here at OSU, I've experienced the weather first hand :chuckles:. It just blows my mind that a Glenville kid passed on a chance to play here at OSU, however I'm biased like you in the sense that I too would choose to play for OSU over USC 10 times out of 10. Although, if he prefers Lane Kiffin to Jim Tressel, maybe we don't want a kid with that kind of judgment here to begin with.

Also, I saw today that Latwan Anderson is close to signing with USC after all the drama he's had between committing to West Virginia, going to Miami on a track scholarship and then not participating with their football program. That would make two G'ville kids in the football program committed to USC, plus one in the 2012 class (Devan Bogard, a DB) that has already received an offer. I wonder if Kiffin is going to try and break the pipeline and maybe start getting it to flow his way.

Are you concerned with his size? Granted the rules state you aren't aloud to touch the LS for 1 second and LS aren't nearly as big as Regular Linemen, but he still needs to block.

Nah...His blocking ability isn't as important as his ability to get down the field and tackle someone on punts.

He's a guaranteed four-year starter who plays the position at an unbelievably high level for his age....I can't complain.

And Field Goals?
