damon has been holding a "media boycott"...

what are your reactions to this action taken? :king:

That he lacks maturity. He hides behind his little comedy act.

Maybe if he played defense and into the system he could have started, but he chose neither.

karma, that's seems right, he's saying all those big words but deep inside it hurts knowing mike brown picked snow over him... his december stats will reflect his true feelings... :king:

Fact is he has shown all the class in the world. He was the starter on a team that went to the ECF and now is a backup, you would figure that he might complain, but he's never said a word. To me thats more maturity and class then 90% of the NBA shows.

This is a 3 week old story thats basically a non issue. Jones has played well, accepted his role, played defense (has played great defense when switching to shooting guard) and been a huge positive in the locker room.

My thoughts exactly: look at the adjusted +/-

Jones IMO has contributed a lot more this team then Snow has so far

why do cleveland fans look for things to complain about? Jones has done what he was brought in for - who cares if he talks to the media?

jones is handling this like we would want him to if he was talking like t.o.

but i think jones should come in a little earlier, he just adds another dimension to this team that snow doesnt. it looks as if jones and marshall come in together at the 5 min mark in the first quater. instead jones should come in at the 7 min mark or at least play longer into the second.

snow is averaging 26.5 and jones is averaging 25.5 a game.

that is as almost as close as you can get without having a stop watch on your hand. but a lot of jone's minutes have come during garbage time. jones just needs to play more.

As long as we win, I don't care how many minutes anyone gets. Why would Jones care about when he gets his minutes? If he wants minutes because he wants stats, then he can get them in garbage time.

I still think he is doing this because the media tried to make a big deal about him and Snow starting, so he is playing with the media and getting them talking. Marshall even said that he joking around about all this. I think Damon Jones is playing all of you guys too.

I like Jones out there, but if Snow continues to play like he has in the last 3 games then i'm fine with it..

But if he starts to play like he did last season and at the start of this season, then he has to be benched..

Perhaps he is getting familiar with the system and that has alot to with his play of late... He doesn't seem to force it, and is truly taking what the defense gives him.. If they give him a lane ? He is taking it in early on in the game..If they collapse on him, he's making the right decision to pass the rock.

His defense has been solid, but it has only been 3 solid games from him.. If he continues ? He starts, if not ? He sits... It should be simple..

Jones hasn't done anything wrong, he played poor in one game... Other then that, he's played well...

i think Jones is doing fine. So he's not dominating the media in the locker room with stuff like how he's the most handosme player in the NBA and best shooter in the world. On the court, Jones is doing fine.

I have no dramas with Damon Jones, I just stated he lacked maturity. This is not to say he is a problem child and will cause internal problems. This will not effect the way he plays. I just said he uses an act to hide his feelings.

I don't see why he could be upset about not starting. You have to earn a starting spot and he did nothing in pre season or the earlier games to do this.

It's actually good that he's not talking to the media. The way I see it, it's more professional of him to do it. This is the situation and he's going with it. If he talks to the media, they will start asking him questions, hard questions, and the answers could be favorable or could not. But there will be a reaction. A reaction to questions like, "How do you feel about coming off the bench after starting in Miami? Don't you feel you're more talented and a better fit for the starting unit?" It's better off not to answer them if Snow and him already have a good understanding of each others' roles.

It's not really a big deal and I don't see much of a problem here. Jones is getting good minutes and is producing in the role he was brought in to fill. As long as that continues than everything is alright. I'm sure he was a little upset that he's not starting but he seesm to be handling it ok. It would be nice if certain other athletes stopped talking to the media instead of continuing to make stupid comments.

So far signing Jones instead of Sarunas Jasikevicious is looking like a good move. It's still early but I think Jones is a better fit.

SARAS blows... I'm sorry, but he makes MUD look fast...

He always looks like his shoes are stuck in GUM out there on the court, the slowest player in the league (Z would beat him in the 40 yard) .. He bitches at the refs all game, and D-JONES is an all NBA first team defender compared to this guy..

I like Jones. I also like the fact that we only had about 3.5 million to be able to give to him. At least this way we can trade him if he acts up, instead of us giving him 5-6 million and making him virtually immovable. Ferry did a great job at getting guys signed at favorable contracts(for our team) this offseason.
