Come on man. People are dumping on Lebron for not being loyal, Mo is demonstrating the epitome of Loyalty. His good friend just completely dicked him over - and he is saying that he still loves him but made a big mistake. There's nothing soft about it. He called him out for doing it the way he did. But in the end, they're still friends. Friendship runs much deeper than basketball.
You guys need to give Mo a break. Very few players on this team have busted their asses harder in the past few years than Mo. I will say it once again - he is what he is. if you were expecting he was the second coming of Jason Kidd, you were wrong. He gave us what we brought him in to do. I appreciate that.
Mo isn't demonstrating the epitome of loyalty, he's demonstrating the entire problem with the people LeBron surrounds himself with - they're all "Yes" men. The only problem he has with what happened is that he should've spared Cleveland if he knew ahead of time? That means he has no problem that...
- LeBron set up a 1-hour special to announce his decision
- LeBron made a huge deal out of these two-a-day goofy presentations he forced teams to do that probably didn't affect his decision at all
- LeBron forced Mike Brown and probably Danny Ferry out of an organization he wasn't even going to sign with
- LeBron didn't even have the courtesy to tell his teammates where he was going before the special
- LeBron wouldn't return Gilbert's communication after all he did for him and wouldn't even give him a courtesy phone call to explain his intentions
- LeBron went ring chasing at age 25 even though he was quoted as saying he never would
- LeBron left before finishing what he started even though he said he would
I mean, I can go on forever, but LeBron has proven himself to be a hypocritical, emotionless, cowardly egomaniac through all of this and the worst Mo can say is that he shouldn't have dragged it out? The best friends are the ones who don't let someone make a damn fool of themselves and make huge mistakes without saying anything. Mo isn't being a good friend, he's being a sycophant just like most of the people surrounding LeBron. Look, Mo seems like a decent guy but between this weak garbage and the Invisible Man act he puts up every year come playoff time, I'm ready to say adios.
