The refuse to pay GM thing is a bit of an unfair narrative anyway.It’s funny because the narrative was that Dan Gilbert refused to pay GM’s. meanwhile, he did something that a billionaire would find even more reprehensible than burning a pile of money with gasoline. Which is spend deep into the luxury tax aka gave other billionaires more money!
Danny Ferry actually quit.
Chris Grant was (rightfully) fired because he hadn't shown capable of building a winning team in four seasons, and because he hand-picked hiring Mike Brown for a second stint, which was a disaster. You could blame Grant for Anthony Bennett too even though that one wasn't entirely his fault, but he made the pick anyway.
David Griffin and Gilbert really didn't get along, and the more we learn about Griff I think we dodged a bullet in not extending him.
