How could they fire him after going to the Finals though? I mean, unless he quit and said he wanted to go back to Israel/Europe and they parted ways amicably?

I just can't envision a scenario where David Blatt could be fired with just cause.

I don't want to speak for Max, but I could see Blatt missing his family and his life over in Europe. If he wins an NBA championship this year, he's set for life choosing where and when he wants to coach anywhere he wants overseas where he could be close to his family.

I have been a big fan of Blatt all season and have been disgusted at the intense media scrutiny and unfair prisms which the media present him. You may not like someone, but you have to put your big boy pants on, do your job, and respect a guy that has led this team to the closest its been to a championship.

He's an amazing coach that has adjusted this team multiple times throughout the season and DURING the PLAYOFFS. It takes patience and skill to be able to adjust your core principles and philosophies to change your roster as you have to adapt to trades, injury, and suspension to key guys in your lineup. I've said it before and I'll say it again, think about before LBJ left and the disastrous lineups and in-game strategies used by The Potato Head.

If he does decide to leave, I'll miss him. I would probably miss him more than I'd miss Kevin Love (and he's another guy I've been huge on all season) if he left.

Hilariously true. I'm a professional musician and white guy. I work with a lot of black dudes and/or dudes who think they're black. i never said blatt WANTS out. i merely stated the eluded obvious. i do not think the current environment is ideal for him, professionally , and a coach at his level wants to make a difference and wants the credit for it. as for basking ...greater men have spoken
