I like hearing about potential lineup changes after this stretch. Our bench with Mike Miller not playing and not playing well lacks any veteran leadership. We are currently throwing out a 2nd round rookie SG, a rookie undrafted PG who is only playing because of Delly being hurt, a 3rd year guard, and a 4th year big who is not a hub on either side of the floor as our bench. That unit today coughed up the big lead we had made in the 1st and early 2nd, and Blatt had to stick with them after all of the talk from LeBron about lessening his, Kyrie's, and K Love's minutes. I think we need to switch Harris and Tristan into the starting lineup, and have Marion and Varejao help out the bench a bit. We've had a big issue keeping leads when the bench is on the floor. I think Marion and Andy can help that out.

Harris was a big reason the lead was coughed up(though the starters effed up bad the rest of the way). He showed he wasn't ready to start the last few games. It isn't a situation like with Dion, whether or not we can bring him back into the fold. The kid tries, he just isn't ready.

The whole point of moving him to the starting lineup is not having him being a focal point of the team. With the starters, he doesn't have to do much and you can hide him. With the bench, the amount he has to do on the court increases. Plus the added benefit of a 3 point threat playing with your starters, 2 of which are very good at drive and kicks.

I really hate the idea of starting Thompson next to Love to go against the other teams best bigs. That's not going to work out well.

Not to mention the LBJ/Andy pick and roll is currently our best offense. Remove Andy from the line-up and that goes away.

The Cavs have essentially 3 men that are capable of being a head coach on this staff.. it's tough to believe between the three of them they can't figure out a set rotation so these players settle into a role. Either that or Blatt isn't listening to advice. How the hell would we know. But MoFlo is so right.. the rotations are baffling and this shit needs to stop. There will be a damn mutiny if it doesn't. I can only imagine how frustrating it is for the guys.
Can't believe he doesn't listen. This roster is seriously flawed. We all recognize it at this point. Maybe someone like Mark Jackson can make a difference but without roster changes nothing significant will happen

I mean, I see no other way you can fix the bench. The only 2 viable options to help it out are Marion and Andy. And just because he comes off the bench doesn't mean he won't play a lot with LeBron (we've seen that before). Also, at least with the offense the starters provide they can hide some of Tristan's defensive limits, and a lot of Harris' limits as well. They just need to do something to get the bench some help, cause it has been pretty awful this season.

Maybe it's his way of trying to take away that safety valve, so we stop running our offense through Andy? More LeBron/Kyrie and Love pick and roll or pick and pop. Then we can run plays for Andy to spark our bench.

I still refuse to blame Blatt for what's happening to this team at this point. Yes, this is a rookie NBA coach. But this guy is far from a rookie of the game.

This quote stood out to me from his press conference:

Never had a losing record in my career and will not have one here either.

I know it's not saying much, but this is a guy who knows how to win. This is a guy who has been a winner his entire career. This is also a guy that is backed up by a very solid coaching staff. Remember when everyone was throwing Ty Lue under the bus a few games ago? I find that to be a similar situation. In no way do I think that Lue was responsible for the poor defensive schemes and sets. I'm attributing this to the players lack of execution and chemistry.

Combine this with Jim Boylan, Larry Drew & James Posley and we're talking about a good group of guys with solid basketball heads on their shoulders. Together, they surely can't be held totally accountable for certain things we've been seeing as I feel that not only do they see these things as well, but are providing direction to try to correct some of the issues on the floor. It's up to the players to deliver.

I'm still behind Blatt 100%. The guy is a veteran and has some of the most entrancing charisma in the basketball world. It's time for him to translate that positivity into a positive, winning record.

I mean Blatt seemed to have a genuinely good time coaching Wiggins and Bennett.

Before he had all of the pressure of Kevin Love and LeBron James. Guys this thread is a borderline chatroom right now.

If you don't have anything good to say, don't clog up the threads with back and forth banter of little substance. I should have figured the forum would get ugly, but this is just sloppy and worthless.
