I agree. If we plan to blow our load and take Trubisky at 1, my only hope is that we trade for #2 as well and take both. Even that seems far-fetched at the moment.... because word getting out that Garrett is going to be available at #2 is only raising the cost of that pick.

Not to be a sour-puss, but Thomas will be gone by then, and I have my doubts on Barnett being there, too. With the Reuben Foster troubles, I could see the Bengals snatching up Barnett at 9.

Awe man, all these rumors are killing me. It's like it's the morning of June 26, 2003 and we are hearing that the Cavs are considering Kirk Hinrich at #1 because, you know, athletic wings are a dime a dozen, but every team needs a skilled PG to win.

Best prospect in past 6 years?? Yeah, well, the Browns have been putrid for LONGER than the past 6 years... so like, it doesn't really matter.

Seriously tho... my only hope of the Browns NOT reaching for ANY QB with #1 or #12 lies with what I think (and hope) Sashi and company really do believe in. And that is... set the board, trust the board.

I have to think that when they (the Browns) set their draft board weeks ago, days ago, whatever... that any of the QB's was not worthy of a top 15 pick. So they must stick with their process as they have proclaimed all along and take the highest rated players on their board.

If the Browns do pick a QB with either 1st round pick, or trade up to take any of the QB's... then we all know that they are just full of shit with their supposed process/in it for long term success proclamations... or, even worse, that Haslam threw his uninformed considerable weight into the draft room and that he will forever F up said process.

Either way, Haslam pushing his weight, or the front office not sticking with the process... either way will seriously undermine my hope of this franchise recovering anytime soon.[/URL]
