In this article it says that Arizona does not participate in daylight savings time, if that is the case, how are they on the same time as the rest of the west coast? *or mountain, Im not sure what time zone they are in*

Wouldn't that throw them off compared to everybody else?

Florida also had a bill to eliminate the practice there, so if we were at 2 oclock, they would be at 3? How does that work out?

Yes we do not do daylight savings time. This creates a bit of confusion for my boss since he is in Cali, and everything we do is based on being on cali time. For half the year we are on cali time, but for the other half we are one hour ahead. For those that are a bit math impared, that means we are currently 2 hours (not 3) behind Ohio. Always fun to figure out. Funny thing is, I moved here from Indiana, who until recently, also did not do daylight savings time.

You guys Loose and Gain an hour....we loose and gain nothing. :chuckles:

Here is a reniactment of what happens if we do try and turn the clocks back an hour here in Phoenix. As you can see, it was met with catostraphic results.

Indiana doesn't use DST either.

It's pretty weird to live at the border of one of these maverick states. I used to work in Indiana while I was at Miami Ohio. It always took me a few weeks to remember the change consistently.

Never got fired for it, fortunately.
