DeAndre Liggins Waived

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Team would be unstoppable especially when you consider Coward would sign for the vet min in his prime just to play with them

I wondered after the Finals if LeBron/Kyrie could evolve into a duo that rivaled Shaq and Kobe.
Depends how you measure it. LeBron is older than Shaq was. And the Warriors/Spurs are far and away better than any other team was back in the Lakers 3 peat era. So right off the bat LBJ/KI are at a significant disadvantage.

Although, when you consider that Game 6 of the 2002 WCF was fixed...well, it gets more interesting.

I'd say it's definitely possible but still a little early to say at this point.

I like Liggins, and the effort he puts into defending all over the court, but good teams will make him take shots he can't make in the postseason. I would be surprised if he gets minutes unless JR really falters or Korver is injured.

The probably is, teams do the same to Shump (like tonight) and not only does he fail to make the shots but he often seems uninterested in playing defense as well.

Shump is money from the left corner 3 but our offense never has him there. Teams tends to leave him at the break or near the key and he's shooting 34% from there.

I could see him lose minutes to Korver in the PO or even RJ's corpse if it comes alive again.

If Shump keeps playing as bad on offense we should really just play Liggins instead. He at least always plays hard defense.

Lately Shump has been making the same mistake over & over again, hes open for 3 & instead of shooting it he pump fakes steps forward with some flashy dribble and than takes a long contested two with a hand right in his face.

Take open 3's and play as hard as you can on defense how complicated can that be, know your role

Guys it's a small sample size but Liggins is shooting 38.6 from 3 so I'm not really sure the narrative of he's so bad at shooting he couldn't even consistently hit the rim is gonna fly.

Keep giving him opportunities until he's actually as bad of a shooter as everyone says he is. But to date he's made the most of his opportunities

Exactly. He's not a poor shooter, he just doesn't look to do it. He pours all of his effort into defense and is "shy" offensively.

His D-League career 3-percentage is around 38%, just like this season's small sample size. His last season down there, he was over 40%. It's not as though he's inept, like people would have you believe.

He's just fine.
