Delonte West tweets 'résumé'
Former Dallas Mavericks guard Delonte West wants a new job. And he's posted a resume of sorts on Twitter in hopes of getting one.

West, who was suspended indefinitely and then waived by Dallas earlier this week, used Twitter on Wednesday to list his experience and abilities, noting that he would play for a non-guaranteed, league-minimum deal because, as he tweeted, "by the time I get there u see what I'm about&what I bring everyday."

Just wanted to share this article and not create a new Delonte thread:

“Oh, man. Playing in the Q. The best arena in the league,” West said. “When I left Cleveland and went to other places, guys would talk about how hard it was to play in Cleveland, and how fun it was. It was unbelievable. There was so much energy in the city.”

One of my favorite players from the Cavs squad back in the day... I wish we would have a hard-nosed defender like him on the current team

Damn...I miss Delonte. He was so much fun to watch, and in my opinion the second best player on those 60+ win teams.

I would agree with you, but just because Mo was a terrible defender. Delonte played his heart out.

Maybe you could make a case for this in the first 60 win season, 08-09, but not in 09-10. Delonte was spiraling that year.

I'd say second best player was a toss up between Mo and Andy for those two seasons though.

Oh yeah he was off his meds the second year, and he wasn't even a starter for most of the year, which likely didn't help his mind. It's too bad he was sick honestly. He could have been a very good player if his head was on straight.

Delonte is a player that I will always root for no matter what and hopefully can get his life back together.

Came here to post this. Fuck man, heartbreaking. How your life can go from so good to so bad in so many ways and so fast.

I work with the mentally ill, drug addicted and homeless and have for years.

This is drugs AND mental illness combined. Not just one or the other. The extreme highs and lows is his bipolar and the delusions could be schizophrenia and/or intense drug usage but his physical condition makes me believe it’s meth. Meth can cause symptoms associated with mental illness like delusions(his runs the Navy Seals)This makes me cry. I remember him taking games off for his bipolar disorder. In special cases the NBA should handle guys like this. Get him probated in court so he doesn’t have the option to refuse treatment

Damn was about to post to see if anyone else saw the video. Shit was heartbreaking and disturbing at the same time. He literally got his head ghetto stomped in broard daylight in thr middle of busy the street and no one helped. He's lucky to be alive. I still remember my buddy who was working at Quicken at the time telling me the rumors about him and Brons mom a few weeks before it became national news. I thought it was pure bullshit. Shit been down hill for him since. Hopefully the NBA or even maybe Dan can help him out.
