DeMarcus Cousins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Come to Cleveland, Boogie! We'll give Sacramento Haywood and a 2nd. Vivek is crazy, so he might consider that.

Moz and Love for Boogie? Now that would be interesting

Oh, and I like Cousins but there's no way Boogie is better than Davis.

Davis: 24.5 ppg / 10.4 rpg / 2.1 apg / 2.9 bpg / 1.4 spg / 1.4 topg / 2.1 pfpg / 59.3% TS / 30.9 PER / .278 WS/48 / 5.1 VORP / ORtg: 123 / DRtg: 100 / On-Off: +10.6 / 27.8% USG

Cousins: 24.1 ppg / 12.7 rpg / 3.6 apg / 1.8 bpg / 1.5 spg / 4.2 topg / 4.1 pfpg / 54.6% TS / 25.5 PER / .151 WS/48 / 3.5 VORP / ORtg: 104 / DRtg: 101 / On-Off: +11.3 / 33.9% USG

Plus, Davis is leading his team to a potential playoff birth, doesn't have character issues, and is 3 years younger. Davis is crazy good at a crazy young age.

Would you do it?
I'm gonna get hate for this, but I say hell yeah. Cousins just needs guidance and I really think Lebron could help turn Cousins into one of the best centers ever.

Not sure because the Bosh effect from Lebron could hit Demarcus just add much as it did Love and Bosh. Plus if fully healthy, Love teamed with a good defensive center like Moz is simply deadly next to Lebron IMO once they get a year or two under their belts.

But then again I love Cousins and with him you could really move Lebron to finish of his career as the uber Barkley PF he is destined to be

Couple things

1. Teams literialy put 3 guys on cousins since the kings have no shooters at all. Also he is one of the lowest assisted guys in the league. That what happens when you play with no playmakers while AD assisted field goals is rediculesly high. In the playoffs you take the guy who creates offense.

2. Cousins is a better defensive anchor by a mile and it's not close. The starting lineup before Corbin came in and fucked everything up was the # 1 defensive unite in the league out of any 5 man group. This is with Collison/mclemore/Gay/thompson. That group has 2 good defenders in it but cousins had them playing elite defense #1 in the league. Meanwhile AD has
Holiday/Evans/Gordon/Asik and there are an average defensive team despite those defenders.

3. Cousins doesn't have character issuers and hasn't had any for 2 years now

Bump.

Will he be traded?

Would you trade Love for him? (@gourimoko 's conversation idea)

Could we maybe even see a 3 team trade?

Cavs get: Cousins, Gay
Lakers get: Love
Kings get: Haywood, #2 overall pick, other picks & fillers

I would not, because even though Cousins has expressed some interest in playing PF, he, Moz, and TT are all too similar. Love is the best stretch power forward in the league, I would not part ways with that unless he literally wanted out.

I love Kevin Love, but I don't think anyone on this forum should be opposed to trading Kevin Love, if it meant getting Boogie Cousins.

Yes, I know Cousins at times is difficult. The guy just had been surrounded by poison on a losing environment. JR was seen as a coach/environment killer too.

I've lost respect for Karl to be honest. The guy coached half a season, and has already given up on a talent like him. Doesn't speak very highly of him to be honest.

I don't think the Kings are trading him. Divac has opposed trading him pretty vehemently.

If Karl is trying to say its either him or me. They'll just laugh and say okay, bye.

Rob's trade idea works for everyone. I think it's very intriguing.

You could move LB to the power forward, which let's face it, he's starting to look more and more like one in the later stretches of his career.

Or just go big, with Boogie and Mozgov, which worked pretty well with the Lakers and Spurs, with their twin towers.

Going with a stretch 4 isn't necessary. We got by pretty well with it with Tristan and Mozgov, if only one of them were at least a dominant scorer, it would have worked out even better.

But if the Kings are willing to move Cousins, centered largely around the number 2 pick coming back. I'm sure the Lakers would be the team that wants him.

Unless they really value Kevin Love more than Cousins. Which seems doubtful.

I'm not understanding why the Lakers would do this. If Love opts out, they can just sign him outright. ANd if he's willing to play there, why wouldn't they do that as opposed to trading the #2 pick?

Does this scenario involved deceiving Love into staying here so we have leverage and then moving him? Cause that might work, but I wouldn't be in favor of something like that.
