Meh
Since day one, you can argue that he's been the best man cover corner in the league when healthy.Obligatory “Denzel Ward is good” post

This year, he's also been a beast at tackling and attacking on his side of the field. Not just a good tackler, but he's been getting off blocks really well too.
He might be the number one corner in football right now.
Who do you have up there? Gilmore? Ramsey?I disagree, but I like your energy.
Who do you have up there? Gilmore? Ramsey?
To me, both have looked far worse in coverage this year than Ward.
Honestly, I think my next two corners in the NFL after Ward are Tre'Davious White and Jaire Alexander.
Ward is putting down film now that equals what made Humphrey special coming out. Ward is getting off blocks and making plays in the flats. He's becoming a really good tackler, which is the leg up Humphrey had over everyone else in that draft class.Well I had Jaire Alexander and Marlon Humphrey higher.
I think Ward has given up more TDs than they have, but I could be wrong. Xavier Rhodes has had a good year as well.

In coverage, Humphrey has been good, but I don't think he can touch Ward.

I’m not sure on Ramsey. I haven’t seen him get really beat once all year and I’ve watched them a few times. Jaire Alexander, White, and Kyle Fuller are having great seasons too, though I’d take Ward over the latter easily.Who do you have up there? Gilmore? Ramsey?

Honestly not sure I've ever seen anything like this before? That's some freaky shit. He's been great in coverage all year but this year he is also tackling incredibly well in space. The Warden just has an innate feel for the game. Just sticks to guys like glue, no matter how big or quick they are. He also has mind-bending plays 1-2X a game. This is some Neo matrix shit right here.
I mean, this should be a no-brainer, right? On the whole, though, I think the insane thing is that Ward is improving! That’s what’s insane to me. He’s already one of the best corners at just preventing catches, but what I’m seeing this year is a more active attempt at generating turnovers. I really hope they re-sign him this summer, gven the longevity of cornerbacks, the low value they get in the market for production, and his sky-high potential.

I don't even want to imagine what this defense would look like without him. He's essential to this team and is undoubtedly elite in coverage. I can't envision a scenario where you wouldn't re-sign him. Shit you might even be able to get a bit of a hometown discount too.
