Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I started my second job today. I'm in training, so I clock in on 3 hours for the next few days. I have access to 2 personal training sessions a month. There is a trainer who entered into Mr. Olympia and placed 7th or something like that.

It's also part of my job to taste every single smoothie that we offer. So, I've had about 5-4 flavors today.

I'm a little overwhelmed, as I'm not at my first job. My only real reprieve is Saturday afternoons. It's become obvious that I need to eat better in order to maintain energy between 2 fitness jobs.

lol this is why you aren't a trainer

i completely stand by my strategy. its sales. they wouldnt be there if it wasnt a pain point. have them expound upon that pain, talk about it, once you find it tongue it like a sore in your mouth and if they sit at home instead of doing something, all they have is that sore in their mouth and theyll tongue it.

positive reinforcement first, of course. the punishment is a backup and is supposed to be summoned within the client themselves after its established, and only revisited as a last resort. like leave a voicemail saying 'i feel for you. i know its hard. but whats harder is ______. Those are the words you told me.. I know this is a personal demon, I really want to be able to help you defeat it."

i drank that coffee bullshit this morning.. tastes awful, but Im awake and would normally be napping right now. the next nap surge hits at 5 or so, well see if i can get past it

just drink butter

went for a jog today since my gym was closed, felt pretty good. The first mile was super easy, easier than i thought as i havent ran in months The second mile was a mix of walking and telephone poles, that was cool too. Quads and calves are totally dead now

@Dave just drink a diet pop or a coffee at like 2 when you get the nap feeling

but that only exacerbates the problem.. short spike and then low. i acutally made the snap decision to buy decaf diet soda at the grocery today. no more stimulants

i drank half the coffee butter this morning and just drank the other half. havent needed to sleep all day. accomplished a bunch of shit. i like this. it is disgusting though

yeah the next round of pop i buy is gonna be caffeine free, between fasting for 18hrs a day and having a coffee pot next to my workstation..way too much caffeine for me lately

anyone recommend any fitness books? Im goin on a road trip and need some reading material. I've read the 4 hour body (some good stuff, some bullshit), and I have Eat Stop Eat, but wondering if any of you have suggestions?

so the stuff worked today.. do you only get benefits from drinking in th emorning? i was good until 6:30 and now im feeling that heavy eye feeling

It varies and it only carries you so far. Morning to mid afternoon seems average. After that, I doubt it is the coffee that is helping. This is when I wonder about people adding up to 6 Tbls of butter, trying to extend the benefits. But hell, that cannot be healthy. And, I agree about it tasting like shit. Ruins a good cup of coffee. But, I tell myself the flavor isn't the point.

ill try drinking an afternoon cup tomorrow

Went to work, and got a surprise from my manager that I was in fact going to be taking my first spin class. Now, anyone who knows me, knows that I will get out of cardio any way I can. He set up my bike and just wanted to see where I was at. I was winded and it wasn't even 5 minutes. He told me that I should go at my own speed and that I still was to do the class. At least I got to do it while I was on the clock. He just told me that I should not leave during the class and if all else failed, just sit and pedal through the whole thing.

The warm up was tough for me. I am so out of shape.

It started to click for me before we hit the half way point, and I was able to do what everyone else was doing. He would often encourage me through the routine. I've never sweat so much in my entire life. But then I never consistently worked out like that. By the end, I felt energized and he was really proud of me.

Now, as part of my job, I have to meet with a personal trainer 2x a month. You should see some of these trainers... It's very intimidating.

My ass has been violated by the spinning bike seat. So harsh! I know it's over for me when I get home. I'm currently at my first fitness job. I'm legs are pretty much done for.

so count me as an advocate for butter coffee.

I had a ride to give at 6 am. was considering going back to sleep afterwards, but I decided to put the coffee to a test. one cup, then another at 1 and Im still good to go.

0 naps in three days and this one was a long one, on only 4-5 hours of sleep. stuff is legit.

Dave - it isn't disgusting if you actually blend it. It just tastes like coffee with cream.

All - Kerrygold Unsalted Irish Butter from grass fed cows. This is the ONLY way to go. They have it at Costco too, but it wasn't by the closed-door refrigerated section where the other butters were, so if you don't see it, be sure to ask.

ehhh im still of the opinion that its more that the butter is a saturated fat and provides a slow burning energy source moreso than it is important to make sure its organic. i could be wrong, but its working as is

I am of the opinion that you are an idiot. It's the same macro content, so just put Crisco in there, or veggy oil. WRONG.

It's the grass fed part too. Tastes different. Different stuff really. Take a look at what butter you are even using. Is it even butter? Might be partially hydrogenated butter spread.

I look at it like this: making my own coffee is already a money saver and breakfast is important. At 50c a cup for the primo home brew, I will cut my $ corners elsewhere, not on the amazing way to start my day and keep me feeling 110% for hours.

My argument is not abut price, it's about the lack of any real benefit of organic anything to your heath.. I wrote dozens of pages on this at sdsu, I just don't believe there is any benefit to organic and I do believe that if crisco was palatable, it autos provide the same benefits as the butter
