i go before work bc that fucking gym gets so packed so early now. and theres no way in hel im working out after putting hours in
Plan curtailed by my pregnant wife's schedule. Ran my 5.5 miles and went sans carbs all day. Will try to get squats, push press, and pull ups tomorrow, despite my wife's best efforts to sabotage me.
Anyone else dig the morning exercise session like me? Schedule permitting, I go right from the gym to work. Not coming back home saves me so much time from distracting myself. Then I get to work and am high on life and am exhausted by 10pm.
Got to the ARC at 605 this AM. No squat rack available. I was a bum and couldn't get my shit together and get out of the house. Gym was already blowing up. New plan: be there by 530.i go before work bc that fucking gym gets so packed so early now. and theres no way in hel im working out after putting hours in
Yeah gym was full of the New Semester, New Me crowd. Everything was in use at freaking 730..dont college kids know theyre supposed to sleep till noon??
My gym buddy hasnt lifted in like a month and totally gave up on his diet. He was always stronger and leaner than me, now he has some man boobage going on..more motivation for me!
Yeah, once school started back up I moved to a different gym about 15-20min from campus. Just the usual 5:00-5:30 crowd but that is a lot of people doing the cardio machines.
In 1 month he was lean/strong and now has moobs? He must be eating completely shitty/getting no exercise whatsoever. That seems drastic. But maybe in my mind I am picturing way worse than what it actually is.
You guys are idiots starving yourself and eating one huge meal.
eh and I think youre unrealistic about 'gaining weight' on the amount of calories that I consume to lose 2-3 lbs a week with no cardio. Unless you are the only human on earth that can be anabolic without aid of synthetic hormones.
in other news, Im down about 6 lbs in the last 3 weeks eating late at night and not during the day (when my body also burns calories, ie; fat reserves, that will offset your supposed storage of excess energy due to late night eating).
"everyone's body reacts differently". But generally speaking, 'starvation mode' (along with almost all other buzz words) is a myth (or will be proven incorrect with the fickle science that is nutrition).
To clarify what I said, 1700 is exactly what I ate when I put on size. I'm not growing now on the same intake because I like where I am at. So yes a high protein diet at the level has given me gains.
My issue with your approach is that it isn't sustainable. Are you going to continue this eating habit forever, no and as soon as you switch back, you're gonna put the weight back on. I feel like how you eat needs to be something that is sustainable in the long term.
