Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Doc is setting me up with cortisone injections Wednesday because this shit isn't healing

i dont like the looks of it.

it makes it feel fine for 2-4 weeks, which is awesome, but theres lots of shit out there that says it basically is counterproductive because the inflammation is how your body is healing itself.. so it stops you from healing. And I have no idea how much the injectionctually costs.

this is just absolute bullsit. so much time. go to the gym one time and its worse than ever.

RIP Dave

I turned on fiber tracking in MFP, i get like 5% of the RDV lol time to step that up cuz my digestion has been messed up since i started eating like a football player

Army ROTC was in the weight room last week, their coach came over to me and gave me power clean tips on how to really use my hips. It helped out so much, I swear I was just shrugging the weight before.. trouble is now I rack the weight higher than normal cuz i pull it higher/faster and it either racks in my throat or clavicles instead of across my chest/shoulders... more practice is needed

Dear Diary - Having two kids makes it tough to go to the gym. I went today, it was phenomenal. And then I took a nap in my office at 1PM bc I was exhausted. Sleep is so hard to come by these days, but I like this routine better than not getting my gym on.

Yeah, I haven't worked out in a week and it has been awesome, actually. But I can't wait to get back into it again. I am just so busy in November/December, literally everyday, all day, from 7am-9pm. And I am not a morning person, and I am not going to the gym after 9pm and be wired until 2am and get no sleep.

I start my marathon training on December 22nd. and not sure if I am going to incorporate weight training or not. I have never trained for a full marathon before and don't want to get too burned out.

Tuesday/Thursdays are my light run days. Only like 3-5 miles, depending on the week. So I am thinking a quick, light full body workout after my run on those days. I was told on your rest days you need to actually rest or your body will never recover from those 15-20 mile runs.

I am dreading but I am also so excited to start doing it.

I think that your body will guide you on whether or not you weight train. No need to decide now. Just don't do anything to compromise your training for your goal. Make sure that you get the right amount of sleep and recovery and listen to your body and you will be fine.

rippetoe makes a lot of thought provoking claims as to how distance runners would benefit greatly from proper strength training.. basically the stronger athlete is always better; if each stride represents X% of leg strength, the guy with a 300lb squat uses less total strength to stride than the guy with the 100lb squat, and therefore uses less energy going the same speed/distance.

but im pretty sure judging from your previous posts you're already pretty strong, just gotta maintain as much strength as you can i suppose

ive been stuck in purgatory for the last 2 months, not being able to train. demotivated to eat right, bc its not like I can do anything right now anyways. Im a little softer than I want to be, and way behind in muscle.

I want this surgery. It makes you pain free for an extended amount of time. It doesnt heal it though. And studies show it actually reduces the chances of healing from 94% to 83% within the year. But realistically, this is a very small difference and will let me work out while i figure out if im one of te unlucky ones that doesnt recover this year.

I weighed myself last week, and I'm hovering between 131-132lbs. I blame laziness and peanut butter cups.
Ideally, 125lbs is where I am to be.

I've committed to spin class every Wed. It was brutal, as cardio is something I try to get out of. My instructor/boss called me out 2x in class. It's motivation, but damn is it a hard class to get through.

I was lucky enough to have a member who already finished his 1.5 hour workout take the class with me. He said he'd take spin with me every week. If that isn't pressure/motivation, than I don't know what is. But right now, my abs and legs are done.

Up to 178, i took a video of my squats and deads today, 265 and 350 respectively... girlies be mirin on instagram
