Diet and Workout Routines

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I love lifting legs now.

I do a HIIT workout every weekday morning before work and it involves a lot of squats and jumping/slow bends (basically like every HIIT workout..) and I pretty much want to shoot myself in and/or around my face when I am done. Legs suck. I wish I was one of those gym rats who only does upper body :chuckle:

Back on my Marathon training...

I was supposed to start like 9 weeks ago, stopped after week 1! This has been a BRUTAL winter. And with me moving and work, I haven't found the time. I condensed the workout into 9 weeks and it started last week. Ran 9 miles last Saturday and actually breezed through it. Going for a 12 spot this Saturday. Actually supposed to be decent weather (38 on Sunday) but possibility of 1-3in of snow.

Will keep ya updated!

shamelessly taken with a bit of a pump... tripple beam balance says 164 with socks, sweats, shorts, boxers, and a tank on, so id say im about 163? I'm also begining to think my lower stomach is just loose skin from being a fatty my whole life

gonna start up the texas method tomorrow, time to perma-bulk nice n slow...hopefully lol.

i picked up a Fitbit Charge HR, it constantly reads your heart rate and can give a really good idea of how many calories you burn through the day, sounded like something id love lol. Hope to get it wednesday

I bought the Fitbit Charge as a gift. (I read that there were inaccuracies with the HR). I tried wearing it for a bit, just to see how it goes. It seemed fairly accurate with the steps I was taking. But it takes awhile to get used to on my wrist. They also have a knack for falling off of the wrist, so I had to buy some fasteners so it won't fall off. As there have been fitbits in the parking lot that have just come off of people's wrists. Don't know if the HR has that issue.

I've got a new personal trainer, as my other one was promoted to another gym. I worked out with him on Friday. He's more geared to a Crossfit style. My other trainer had me out there doing dead lifts and squats (which I loved). Different trainers have different styles.

My pre-workout choice is exclusively Arnold Iron Pump. We have C4, but I decided that I don't like feeling jittery before/during my workouts (that's what C4 does to me.) arnold doesn't have that feel, but I just have a ton of energy when I take that. At night, I follow it up with Arnold's Iron Dream - This regulates your sleep cycle and puts you in a deeper sleep. You cycle it for 5 days and then take 2 days off.

I started to get some ab definition and then I decided that carbs were indeed awesome.

Also, Fit Crunch protein bars are the Beez Kneez!

The Charge HR has a different band clasp than the Charge, its like a standard watch clasp thankfully. Idk why they would ever NOT us a standard clasp

edit- Starting the Texas Method tomorrow, i subbed BB Rows for Cleans, cuz i dont really care about athletic performance...just gainz. Next week ill be backpacking in the grand canyon, so this week will be a big tease, but im looking forward to making strength gains again!

My personal trainer and I have been all over the place. I found that weights are by far my favorites. Today was a push/pull day. I always end my workouts with him with 20mins of cardio.

I'm a big fan of the Arnold series - Iron Pump and Iron Dream (MusclePharm) - no jitters with his pre-workout.

I really like Musclepharm. Is the Arnold series creatine free? I swore the stuff of because I never could maintain the gains I got off of it.

I can tell you that Iron Pump has no creatine in it, and neither does Iron Dream.

Have you really noticed a difference using a nighttime sup? I've always debated trying them but wasn't sure on the effectiveness.
