Dillon Brooks - 4 years, $80 Million w/ Rockets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Signs FVV....the most mid PG I've ever seen to $120M contract over 3 seasons. Ultimately blocking their #5 pick from just a few weeks ago.

Signed this ass clown to a 4 year deal. Taking time from Josh Green, Kevin Porter Jr, and the #20 pick in this past draft.

Dumped one of their 1st round picks last year for nothing, dumped TWO 1st round picks from 2021....for nothing.

Gave away one of their few bright spots KJ Martin....for nothing.

The NBA has never seen this level of incompetence in a 48 hour period.

Well, there was this guy named Ted...

It definitely all seems pretty dumb, but if they release KPJ and decline Tate's option next summer, they can still create almost $35M in cap room. If Eason, Jabari, Sengun, Green, Thompson, and Whitmore manage to pan out, they'll be in decent shape.

It's been 45 years, I can't recall the actual timeline.

It all seemed to happen overnight, and his moves were far stupider than anyone could believe. Maybe not in 48 hours though.
You mean, like, trading a first for Mike Bratz, and then trading him one year later for a third-round pick? Good shit!

September 16, 1980: Traded by the Dallas Mavericks to the Cleveland Cavaliers for a 1984 1st round draft pick (Sam Perkins was later selected).
October 28, 1981: Traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers to the San Antonio Spurs for a 1983 3rd round draft pick (Les Craft was later selected).

Ted's worst deal was Bill Robinzine (who we just acquired for Campy) and two unprotected firsts (became Roy Tarpley and Derek Harper) for two expansion Mavericks bench players - Jerome Whitehead (waived after three games / eighteen days) and Richard Washington.

Ted loved expansion draft players.
