Dion and Love worked out together for most of the summer. I HIGHLY doubt that there's a lack of trust or a dislike there. The whole team just needs more reps.

Anyone who thinks this team is just going to magically be perfect right out the gate doesn't remember Miami starting like 8-9 four years ago. I think we'll start better than that, but there are going to be growing pains and issues to be sorted out. The important thing as fans is just to relax, not panic, and accept that this team will struggle at times this season as they figure everything out.

Also, I think Love and Waiters are friends. They even have their own high five thingy during pre-game intros. They are still learning how to be teammates, though. Give it time.

This needs to be said but when Dion gets on his chucking spree he needs to be pulled and Delly needs to take his place. At least you won't get chucking from him and he plays just as good D as Waiters. Waiters just knows how to get the steals.

What is a chucking spree, and when has Dion ever gone on one?

And why the fuck is Dion being talked about in almost every Cavs related thread on this board?

Well obviously if he's being talked about in every thread he's doing something wrong or right. I'm a big Dion fan even I know when he's chucking and not playing within the flow of of the offense.

I don't think you know as much as you think you do.

Taking one or two bad shots per game isn't chucking. And he's also not the only only taking ill-advised shots. Every player on our team takes a couple bad shots per game. Dion, for whatever reason, gets scrutinized the most for it though.

Furthermore, you can't expect guys to play perfect games. A couple bad shots per game is ok and expected out of any player who has the ball in his hands a lot.

Also, do you even know what chucking is? Do yourself a favor and look up how many shots on average Dion is taking per game this preseason. I think you'll be surprised.

And finally, no. Dion shouldn't be the topic of discussion in every thread on this board. He has his own thread dedicated to him. The fact that he's a role player on this team and getting mentioned more on this forum than LeBron, Kev, and Kyrie is insane.

He's chucking because he's taking the most shots on the team and not even the star player. He thinks he's a star player. I think u need to know what chucking is because it sure not taking bad shots. If our own commentators and even ESPN commentators are saying saying he needs to learn to play in the flow of the offense then he had a problem. Which is why he needs to get pulled and subbed out for Delly when things are going bad on his end. Since its only preseason I guess things can change and I hope so. Don't want to see him on the bench.

Dion looked good last game. Playing within the flow of the game. No mention of that? Hit his shots to when the ball was kicked to him and he was open.

Do you think Dion thinks he's a "role player?"

Milwaukee.... Dion 8-13, love 8-11 no james no irving. Miami no irving Love 9-12 , Waiters 7-12

I have no problems with Waiters taking 12-16 shots a game. that is his role. what i fine absurd is people blaming Dion the SHOOTING guard for not getting the ball to love every time he touches it.

btw if you look at the complete box score and add in assist and free throws youll see love had more shooting oppurtunities than waiters in both of those game.

Lebron can shoot as many times as he wants and he is choosing not making to to get the ball to dion so he can shoot. so im not sure where this fantasy encounter of lebron telling waiters to keep his place is gonna happen since lebron is one of the people making sure Dion gets his shots.

when lebron was asked about his delladova pick. he responded that those with basketball knowledge knew better than to think that. What if Dion had said that? you guys would be outraged.

With the way our offense is build, the amount of shots per player will be different on every night. Therefore, people shouldn't have problems with Dion shooting 16 times a game, as long as they are good shots.

And that's were things go wrong. A few times (and this doesn't just go for Dion, but I've also seen Kyrie, TT and Delly do this), guys were shooting contested jumpers (or in TT's case, that ugly floater) when Love was wide open. That's the problem people have.

I dont think the flow of the game will be the same in games that dont matter as the ones that do.

This is preaseason, and while I think the Cavs competed in say the bulls game, I really dont thi they were committed to just winning against Memphis. I think they take the preaseason minutes as an opportunity to try different things that need work. If Dion only drives and kicks to Love for three, it may work every time for a while, but eventually someone figures out how to defend it. That is not the right time for Dion to Start figuring out what he can or can't do.

I think Dion has clearly improved during the offseason, and he is going to measure that in game minutes. On the other hand it is clear that Loves three ball is working great, and he has established that in other games this preseason..

I expect we will see the full force in key games this season, and we will see the main guys take mini vacations in games that dont matter much (against say Philly in Philly)

There are going to be at least 20 games against teams that suck this year, and in those games, I think they green light Dion to score anytime he feels he has the opportunity. That could make him look like a chucker, but it is really just game speed scrimmage. The real measure is what he does in key games with his D, his ability to screw up opponents spacing, and finishing. You have to ask this question... Is he better than Mario Chalmers?

Windy just said on "Hey Windy" that Mike Miller will be the first person off the bench for Dion and that their plan is to get Dion to want to come off the bench.
