I was paying attention, and I never believed a word of it.

Actions have always spoken louder than words to me.

Kind of like the proverbial "vote of confidence" guys get right before they're let go. Teams and players generally try to cover up problems within the team, and have a pretty strong incentive to lie about/minimize the problems that do exist.

Dion will wear number ......... 23 :D

Going to be hilarious when Dion has the same troubles he had here when he plays for OKC. OKC is very similar to the Cavs. Scoring ball hog PG with a too unselfish superstar.

I said it in S34 last night, but I absolutely hate when our organization using their mouth piece The Bullshit Whisperer to bad mouth players on the way out the door. Even if everything he is saying is true (and it probably is), it's classless and something that good organizations just don't do. Better teams shut their mouths and move on quietly. Poor organizations feel the need to run a smear campaign.

It makes us look bad to other players who might consider signing here and it's really something we need to stop doing. It seems to happen every time we cut ties with a player or coach, too.

Do you think anyone really needed a source to write that Dion "Believes he's better than Kyrie, thought Kyrie "favored" by Cavs." The same issue with Dion is all through this thread.

So what are the odds he burns us in his first game against us?

There's no bad blood with me and Dion. I don't think he was ever, going to do well here. It has nothing to do with us not treating him properly, guys like Dion, to me, have yet to mature enough to "get it".

Do I think he has it in him to be a good player in this league? Sure I do. I think he's been underwhelming at this point, but I can definitely see Dion becoming a very solid basketball player. All-star? No. A good player that can make a difference? Sure I do. I just wouldn't expect it to happen so soon.

If he ends up becoming better than he was here, I just don't think you can look back and say "see, see, told ya, it was our fault". It just wasn't the right place, or time for him yet.

Both Dion and us needed to move on. It had to happen, I wish him nothing but the best.
