If Sloan is a legit 6'3, then Waiters may be close to 6'5 in shoes. I thought he looked to have plenty of size. Keep in mind, he didn't measure at the combine. The draft express numbers are from the high school jordan classic.

Edit: My bad. He did measure. Drew a blank there.

Expecting more out of a guy after 32 minutes of summer league basketball. We have here, folks, CavFanatic.

I wish that summer league had a structure like the rookie salary cap... That way, MKG would be leading the rookies, Beal would be scoring just a little bit less than MKG, then Waiters would be slotted in right behind that.. :chuckles:

Waiters got measured at the Draft Combine but didn't participate in the athletic drills (he's last measurements in the DX database are from the combine)
He's 6'2.5" w/o shoes, 6'4" in shoes, with a 6'7.25" wingspan

Waiters was measured at the combine, just nothing else. He's 6'2.5" in socks, 6'4" in the shoes he wore. He's .75" taller than Kyrie (in socks). Sloan was measured 6'1" in socks.

I was just wondering because in Sloans profile he was listed as 6'3 and Waiters seemed a decent bit taller than him to me. but at the same time he still looked short lol

6'3' if you round down, 6'4" if you round up, 6'5" if you think players like to actually play in 2" heals.

Round down? If he measured at 6'4, he's 6'4. No rounding necessary.

Well, most shoes have a 1-1.25" heel, so seeing players show up to the combine in shoes with heels that are 1.5"+ is kind of a joke. If you tack on normal shoes to Dion's height and round up, then he is 6'4". If he was wearing the crazy heels that nobody would ever play in, then he could make 6'5" rounded up.

True, but I think measuring height is such a mystery. You would think it's so easy, yet these guys may not measure the same thing twice in 3 different scenarios without shoes. For example, it was rumored that Kobe is 6'4.25 without shoes. We have pre-draft measurements from NBA scouts, yet no one is willing to state that so-and-so is exactly this tall.

Actually his initial pull up three, late jumper, and late split of the double/euro step/finger roll looked exactly like Wade.

No one said he was going to be as good as Wade, just that he plays like him. The times where he excelled last night on offense looked EXACTLY like young Wade.

Hah! If only it was that simple. He was measured at 6'2.5" in socks. If you can steal a pair of shoes he actually plays in, then we can address his playing height.

one time we went on vacation to disney (whcihever one is in Florida). I was too short to do anything, so pops put like 6 packs of socks in my shoes and saved the trip.

I am Dion, Rob Pelinka is my dad and Cleveland(disney) is foiled again, this time by a pack of socks.
