thats was a solid drive to the basket. the shot before he passed up on a good shot and andy gave it to him in far worse position. wasnt really anyone to dish it off to that late in the play.Dion was kinda benched for shot control but Delly was just working so well Blatt had to play him to finish the game.
I hope Dion is willing to accept that sometimes. I didn't really notice him during timeouts but that was on the ESPN feed so idk how he was acting on the bench.
Dion got the ball in transition and was conitnuing his motion. not sure what you wanted him to do there.. its amazing kyrie irving was 6-17 on those type of drives not part of a transition drive yet noone complains about his shot selection.. the ref part would be the part that got him benchedDion got benched because he tried a horrible percentage layup, and bitched at the ref while Dunleavy was running a fast break the other way. Luckily, they got an offensive foul, otherwise he would have been responsible for pretty much sabotaging the Cavaliers.
Dion needs to grow up.

the video will be on the nba.com website within the next few hours. id recommend watching it
you did see the 5 times he got the ball in transition and there was nothing there he pulled out.. he really had to mucm momentum to pull out so he went for the lay up and two bulls collapsed on him. he caught the ball on the corner paint cutting. the contact was within moments of him getting the ball.Dion got the ball in transition, yes, but sometimes he needs to realize that driving into the paint into 3 players is not a high percentage shot. I don't care who you are. And the icing on the cake was Dion complaining, as usual, to the ref while giving up a scoring opportunity the other way. That's unacceptable, no matter what, and he deserved to get benched for it.

to be fair amherst was being critical of dions court play but the unacceptable part was specifically regarding the interaction for the ref. Thats a possible tech and a known issue with Dion. Blatt and irving are people person they and av know how to complain to the refs properly. Dion does not. nothing wrong with tough love in this situation. fortunately espn went to commercial quickly and Blatt yanked Dion right away. That was unacceptable, but LeBron and Kyrie both turning the ball over in back to back plays in crunch time; all while failing to get back on defense was?
Everyone needs to be held accountable.
