Dion Waiters

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm kind of disappointed in how bad Dion has been for OKC. I was glad we made the trade and glad we didn't have to see him brick stupid shots for us anymore, but I don't hate him. I wanted to see him succeed because he seems like a good kid. Damn, though, he has been really, really terrible this year.

With Durant out(and now Westbrook) he isn't chucking overly much. He will have to rebuild his shot this offseason, but the Cavs have to take some responsibility with that considering how they isolated him away from the others and imo, his prep for this season was messed up. In Waiters case his improved +/- in OKC at least leads me to conclude he has improved as a defender quite a bit. He didn't give a shit here and it shows. The Cavs didn't either.

WHy should the Cavs give one flying fuck about his shot? Why do they HAVE to take responsibility for anything related to Dion Waiters career at all?

If you went by Domes post you'd think Dion was caged, beaten, and kept away from any human contact.

Now Dion has been freed but, gosh darn it, those damn Cavs left everlasting psychological scars that can only be cured with a little love from some basketball forum white knights.

Fly like the dove that you are, Dion, and just shoot it.

Right now Im enjoying watching the Cavs finally getting things together and im enjoying watching Dion play ball in OKC.

Care to share what those things were?

I can think of:

Being upset he didn't get the ball even when the team scored.

Giving up a million back door cuts on defense despite looking like he loves to D up when his man has the ball.

Taking contested jumpers when his team has a numbers advantage in transition.

The fucking shouting.

I'm curious as to what yours were.

Haha, just a rehash of the things i said two dozen times in the Dion thread. The initial backlash was the best. I just sat there smiling thinking "they have no idea..."

Dion with a Double Double tonight. Good showing to build on even it was against philly.

Watching Russell Westbrook flatly refuse to pass the ball to.. well, anyone.. late in the game- does Dion have anymore comments about "at least I get the ball"?

Westbrook had good reason not to give it to him. Dion tried a horrible contested stepback that cost them a crucial possession prior to.

They should amputate Dion's hands, so he can never touch the ball again.

Dion had some good possessions in the 4th quarter. He set up Serge for an open mid range jumper and kicked one over to the corner to Augustin for a 3, so he wasn't all bad. But his last shot was terrible and his inbounds pass was even worse. In his defense, the inbounds "play" reminded me a lot of Mike Brown's inbounds plays, not very creative.

While watching it develop, I thought he should bounce it off of Noah since he wasn't paying any attention to Dion. Imagine the backlash if he did that and it was unsuccessful.
