Is anybody else disappointed with the overall next gen console?
I know I am. They come out with all this hype and their big price tags on the systems and then their price raises on games and what do they give the gamer? Nothing.
These systems are supposed to have all of these new powers but what have they shown thus far? What game has come out since the next gen system has come out that has blown you away? I can't think of one.
This is the third installment of football from EA Sports on the Xbox 360 and so far I have been dejected as of now. With all of the new power the system is supposed to have, you'd think you would be able to notice...but like the difference between regular DVD and HD DVD, the difference is minimal.
So we paid $600 for a system that has enlarged the graphics a bit. But we still get a football game that's idea of snow is making the field completely white with some white dots on the screen. Its like playing on a white surface. Instead of Boise States blue turf, you get white turf and the fans and coaching staff in short sleeve shirts like its 90º out. What happened to the weather making a difference like the preview said. My RB is running a 4.2 40 in 15º weather while snowing...good job using that power of the system. There are no footprints in the snow, something that was available on Metal Gear Solid on the freaking playstation one.
Of the rest of the games I have played on the 360, nothing really stands out. The graphics are more smooth, more detailed. But what is so different in the game play that couldnt have been done on the Xbox and the PS2? We basically paid for an upgrade of a graphics card in your computer is what it comes down too.
When is the next step in game play going to be taken? When are we going to get real life reactions from the systems that are supposed to be next generation?
So far, all we have gotten is shit in a box with a pretty little bow on top of it.
