How about Chris Kaman on our team? A true center that would replace Z if he gets old. Would you trade Varejao for Kaman?

Varejao/Pavlovic for Kaman works.;)

He's not cute and I don't swing that way.:chuckles:

Knows how to play defense, active on the boards, high effort level, can guard any opposing Center. I like him but I wish there was some way to hold on to Andy simply for the fact that his hyperactivity and wild hair tend to piss off opposing bigs and make them come unraveled.

Reggie Evans does...

I would be open to a deal structured like that.

Kaman is signed long term (a 5/50 deal, I believe), which is a plus, as he could serve as the replacement for Z in a heartbeat.

He can run the floor better than Z, which is a plus with this team as well, ESPECIALLY when we consider which players are going to be here in the longest term.

He's tough on the glass and can score with his back to the basket. We don't have a lot of that on this team either.

I just don't see the Clips doing that, unless we toss them a draft pick or two, as Varejao could bolt LA if he so chooses.

Buddy

lmfao pip

and yeaa i like him a lot. I think i'd be ok to trading andy if we can get kaman. He could also play the 4 until Z retires

So was the Trade Board dismantled?

I don't think we can afford to not have AV. He is a top-tier forward.

uh what? I hope you were being sarcastic because AV is far from that. Top-tier players tend to start on the team they play for.

Why would the Clippers trade Kaman for a lesser player in AV, knowing full well that AV is gonna ask for 9-10 million a year for a new deal to stay in LA? This is about what Kaman is making now, btw.

Oh, wait. This is the Clippers we're talking about. Never mind ;)

I like Kaman but the Clippers have no reason to trade. He is young, productive and locked up. The trade bait they have his Camby who is 34 still relatively productive and has a contract that ends in 2 years.

Why the Clippers are doing what they are doing is beyond me. They are not building any kind of championship core. It seems that they are destined to be as a best case scenario that late lottery treadmill of mediocrity.

does anyone have a link to anyone relating to the cavs other than bob finnan???(like BW?)

a wally+09pick for kaman seems good? we get a solid big to replace Z longterm, the clippers can get cap relief(davis, camby and zach major contracts) and they would get some a good shooter in wally which they need for this season...also camby, zach & kaman may want to start and if not they would want good mins

I would definetly do kaman for wally and a 09 first but im not sure if the clips do that since camby is getting up there they could have kaman and randolph as their future bigs
