Wes Unseld was an NBA champion and rookie of the year. Donovan has a way to go yet.
MVP his rookie year too. Don definitely not on his level yet. Does have many All Star appearances as Unseld though. If he can get over the hump and win a championship then he'll probably be right there with him.

I thought he might have been MVP his rookie year like Wilt Chamberlain, but I couldn't remember for sure.

Seems like this must have been more serious than they let on. They aren't even giving a firm return date, which is very disturbing. This definitely isn't just precautionary. These are meaningful games to miss and will cost us in the standings.

Mitchell is almost certainly gonna be ineligible for any awards this season now as well. 65 games is about up.

How long has this been going on? If before the Bulls game, maybe he shouldn’t have played 50 minutes in that game on the second night of back-to-back

I just came across this quote from JBB in an article about Mitchell’s injury. I had only seen that 3 game timeline so I was shocked to see that he even uttered the word “month :

“I expect him to be back before a month,” Bickerstaff said when asked about a specific timeline before the Cavs hosted the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Celtics, who have won 11 straight games. “I don’t like to overstep my bounds. But at the end of the three games, they’ll reevaluate and then we’ll make a decision from there.

Yeah this was from a couple days ago. When they put out the statement, they said he would be re-evaluated after 3 games, not that he'd be back then.

It's the same thing they're saying about Mobley...he'll be re-evaluated in a week, but he will almost certainly miss much longer.
