But u have to admit, with a better DL guys like davis will be even better.
KEY! Thats key.
Expecially the ILBs live and die with the D-linemen. Since our D-Line sucks, it is not a fair argument to trashtalk our ILB.
Lets take the LBs one by one:
Wimbley: Great! But plays mostly as D-Lineman
Davis: Good and can be a lot better with a good D-Line. Always at the top of the league in tackles.
Jackson: Good, is Davis 2.0. And I THINK that Jackson might be a better coverage man though. (Shut down some great TEs this year)
McGinest: Solid to Good when healthy. And is a leader and a teacher.
Thompson: Solid, with a lot of upside, but never really given the chance with the right time to shine.
Williams: Great! Waiiiiiiit, before you lynch me, take a look at the last 4-5 games of where William got a lot of time. He was a BEAST. Expect him to start from Day 1 this season
Recap: 4 Good to Great LBs. And 2 Solid LBs.
Now some of you might not agree, but I think that your standards might be a little too high here. Take a look at the other teams in the league. We are not far behind in the LB departament from the Elite teams.
Don't forget that 3-4 is all about the LBs, but LBs need the D-Line.
